I'm always disappointed when people rave about books before I get to them because I feel they inadvertently set the book up for a fall. It was very realistic and also very altruistic on his part to warn her about the complications caring for a disabled person comes with.

There are a couple of scenes that are just so sensual I thought I was going to have to put my Kindle down for a moment to compose myself. Clearly I'm riding the caboose of this hype train, and I'm not sure what I can add in a review that hasn't already been said a thousand times over, but this book truly was everything and more. Mia hasn't allocated even whispers to her Mute, Loner - Archer Hale but readers feel them regardless.its a story about two broken people, their courageous survival, the healing power of their love, and the strength in the voices they create. If you find yourself thinking oh, how convenient more than once or twice in a story, it's probably all too convenient.

It suddenly occurred to me that Archer Hale had taught himself an entire language, but hadn't had a single person to talk to. Right from the beginning, I felt like something was missing and, at the same time, I felt like something was out of place. she weirdly romanticizes bree’s PTSD and archer’s disability in a way that feels so slimy and icky and made me uncomfortable reading it.

there were so many some cringy scenes for sure, sentences where i shook my head and wished they wouldn’t have said that buuut it’s still a good book nonetheless. Will he ask you what some of your lists are, like a calm list, to keep you entertained and occupied as you’re on a road trip? I love books where you can just feel the palpable love between your two pain characters within every single word on the page. The introduction even reminded me of Nicholas Sparks novels- sweet and comfy at start, just prepare oneself for the tragic ending.

This was a roller coaster of emotions, everything from happiness and giddiness to anger and sadness.
