I didn’t end up sewing the peplum onto the fabric tunic, but I did use it on the chest armour piece. This was done using an iron and some crumpled up tinfoil, to give the foam a sort of faux leather look. It’s sort of a shame that all of this is on the back of the costume, you don’t really get to see it unless I’m walking away from you! Our Labyrinth costumes are meticulously designed to capture the essence of the movie, ensuring an authentic and immersive experience. YOU REMIND ME OF THE BABE When we all heard about the "Goblin King," we all probably thought of a different kind of character. So, yup, you better believe that these Labyrinth Costumes are officially licensed by The Jim Henson Company. Here’s a shot of the pattern pieces I used for this, done on tracing paper (which coincidentally, helps to show the overlap areas).

Our authentic movie look is a part of our Made by Us costume line, created in-house by our enchanting design team. Using my sewing mannequin, I draped fabric and experimented with the shape until I liked what I saw.I picked this tip up from Jen Yates of Epbot (EvilTedSmith has since gone on to do a video of this technique as well). I used kwikseal to fill in the seams of my collar piece, which is the white material you see on the image above. Much later in the process I also added some velcro to the chest, as the NECA figure showed there are a few bones that attach directly to the tunic (Which I also made out of foam that has been dremelled into shape). The pants are designed with a cod piece and an elastic waistband, providing a comfortable fit for all sizes.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.

During this I closed up the darts for the scales, as thinner craft foam is pretty easily stretched around curves, which saved me the trouble of trying to hide a few additional seams. Other companies costumes might only last Halloween night, but with the proper care, ours can be kept and worn for years!
