Given how closely relatable I am to Kate’s story, I found this to be very difficult to rate and review.

I’ve felt doubly different, being neurodivergent myself, understanding my son in a less common way, but feeling too different than other autism moms who say things that unintentionally become personally insulting to me. I remember vaguely coming across this page last summer as I was, and still am, trying to find out what our lives are going to look like. I flew out there with a friend just for a nice weekend, met with the agent, submitted a proposal and signed my contract.

Kate’s video, “The Last Time It’s Going To Be Okay,” was featured by The TODAY Show and has been viewed over 30 million times. Intense interests and repetitive behaviour are often seen along with differing sensory experiences'. And a wonderful woman who is a follower of mine from New York City recommended I meet her friend, who was an agent. The frustration at trying to find services and the appalling lack of help from some professionals is disturbing and yet Kate and her hubby persevered. Teachers, parents and even siblings of children diagnosed with ASD should read this book and take to heart the lessons that the author learned. Most of us don't have much time spare to read them because of the extra attention and care that our children need, but we try hard to make time. And you know, when you said about high-Functioning, I've done the video, blogs and podcasts on high functioning versus low functioning, which is now taboo. I tried to be really respectful of Cooper, and in the beginning again, I didn't know that that many people were seeing my things. And I'm just so happy to share his story and educate the unassuming person about how this is OK and it's OK to be different, and it's OK to say hi and share our life. This book is an honest, emotional and thought-provoking account of what goes on in the life and mind of a mum who finds herself with a child who is 'different'.

um, anyone can read this book and have a better understanding of what autism can be like for parents, siblings, and families. In Forever Boy , Kate shares her inspiring journey with honesty and compassion, offering solace and hope to others on this path and illuminating the strength and perseverance of mothers. So I'm going to read from Chapter eight and I'm going to read about when I first heard about autism. Seems like there is funding for putting up posters and freaking out parents, but no extra funding for support services for all the kids who need it. I just learned of your page and your story today, and I’m beyond touched and admire you and Cooper so very much!Once I counted Cooper had on average seven additional appointments a week on top of school and being a kid. She got started on the blog Finding Cooper's Voice, which I mean, the last I checked had over 750,000 followers. So our family, we're our family of six, which is hectic and crazier than I ever thought it would be.
