The wide area 500m beam provides a broad, effective lighting pattern, whilst 2m waterproof construction is perfect for all-weather operation. Pretty much the lowest setting on the Fenix is the same as the high power setting on the M7 Ledlenser. I would love for Fenix to add more neutral-white versions to their range; I like the warmer shade and the better colour rendering; even though this also means you often compromise when it comes to beam distance.

Unscrew the tail cap to insert the battery with the anode side (+) towards the light head, then screw the tail cap back on. It is widely used in various industria structural parts requiring a certain strength and high corrosion resistance, such as manufacturing trucks, tower buildings, ships, trams, railway vehicles, furniture machinery parts, precision machining, molds and so on.

The LR40R produces a lot of light at a short distance and you can also clearly see the effect of the extra central 'spot LED light': it gives the light its extra range. LR35R gets its power from the two included cold-resistant 21700 rechargeable Li-ion power batteries, with an enormous total capacity of 8000 mAh, allowing you to reach a maximum of 80 hours runtime. The indicator will light up continuously or flashes in green or red to make sure you know how long you have left.

Other sheaths feature an over the top flap which can be done with one hand without having to look at it. Again, this is a personal opinion, but a Eco of 50 lumens (according to the manual) is not Eco at all, and a Low of 450 lumens doesn’t sound very ‘low’ either.The views expressed in this summary table are from the point of view of the reviewer's personal use.
