If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. But you also say "New Build" it is required to have zones in new builds, all that is required is TRV heads, but often one finds zone valves, but the Nest system does not seem to be designed to work with zones, EPH do an OpenTherm thermostat which can be set as Master/Slave but I know of no others, often the zone valves need removing to fit the likes of EvoHome or Wiser.

Are you saying that the Hive won't work as a replacement in this case without running new wiring to the Hive faceplate? If the app is asking you what the st9100 controls it’s probably so it can work out what instructions to give you. It likely will need re-wiring, as the Honeywell CM707 thermostat is on/off, Nest e can be used on/off, but that would be a bit counter productive when boiler is OpenTherm and thermostat is also OpenTherm. They also appreciate the programmable feature, which allows them more accurate control over the house temperature. When we sat down and had that talk and you told that since I had a relationship with your friend (now my Ex) that you and I could never be, and that you looked at our relationship as a friendship.I was told that I can bridge the wires to decommission the zoned wired thermostats which will give the wireless thermostat full control over the heating and always keep the valves open. The range caters for all requirements with hard-wired or wireless versions and 1 day or 7 day programming. I bought this thermostat controller as a temporary replacement while my other thermostat was repaired. This will reduce heat losses slightly as you'll only be pumping heat around the circuit that needs it.

For example, they mention it's great for setting differing temperatures, and it'll give you more accurate control over the house temperature. There is a problem where zone valves are used, Wiser thermostats will only allow use of the Opentherm module when single channel, so with new builds often there are zone valves, so they will not work with the OpenTherm module, EPH seems to be the odd one out, it does not link to TRV heads, but it can work as master/slave, so even with zone valves it can still control boiler with OpenTherm. The chronotherm CM700 series are programmable room thermostat based on Resideo's proven CM20 programming philosophy. Wired or Wireless Wired Width 133 mm Voltage 24 V to 230 V Type Programmable Room Thermostat Timer Cycle 7 Days Height 88. By installing wired thermostats on to the heating valves you will effectively be getting rid of the zones, though it will cost you more. I want to replace the thermostat with a Nest Thermostat e which I bought, but I'm struggling with the wiring.

You need to alter the wiring at the time clock too, you cannot just connect the wiring from the old stat as it exists as the nest runs on 12v d c and the wiring you have at the stat is 240v so you will simply blow the nest. Some other thermostats also connect to the TRV heads, EvoHome and Wiser being two good examples, however these also have the option to fit an OpenTherm module and turn boiler up/down rather than on/off which is even better, Nest is odd one out in that does not need a module fitting all built in, but also has no link to TRV heads. I’m not an Engineer and so this is a DIY project for my own home so any advice in laymans terms would be extremely helpful. Some boilers like Bosch have not adopted OpenTherm, they have their own modulating thermostats, but these only work in one room, so unless open plan home not really very good control, it would seem the Hive system was designed to get around this problem when boiler manufacturers only allow on/off electrical control. This is used, for example, if the 'stat is locaqted in a poor place that might suffer from draughts - since the 'stat will be senseing air that is colder than in the rest of the room, this control will allow you to alter the displayed temp to represent the main room as opposed to the 'draught'.

The CM700 range of programmable room thermostats are designed for social housing provider and specifier market needs by providing automatic time and temperature control of domestic heating premises. So we want a wall thermostat that on warm days will switch off the boiler, it seems odd, but a large difference between on and off temperature is actually an advantage, you don't want the boiler switching back on again if the sun is out and we have a warm day. Designed with simplicity in mind, the CM707 features a clear backlit display and intuitive controls, making it easy to navigate and set your desired temperature. I note it does have a 'Temp Offset' feature that can change the displayed temp in relation to the room temp. The other night, I had to turn my boiler off, because it kept coming on in the middle of the night, even though the ambient temperature was above set temperature. By setting specific time periods and temperatures, you can ensure that your home is always at the optimal temperature when needed, helping to save on energy costs.
