Formerly a milking shed, our gin distillery in Scotland is designed with the rich history of the area in mind. Caroline was amazing and very knowledgeable,as well as getting to know different gins we had such great laughs and fun so much so we are heading back tomorrow so our driver can do a tasting with Lorna. Sophie was very knowledgeable about the gin making process and told us all we needed to know about the different gins. Illustrated by Scottish artist Kat Baxter, “Struan” is depicted using juniper, orange, lemon, coriander and angelica, which are some of the botanicals used in this gin. The recipe was inspired by a number of botanicals that grow around the Falls of Bruar, a series of waterfalls that form part of the Bruar Water. On the nose bright juniper and freshly expressed orange peel and rosehips are undercut with fresh pine needles.
