Dookie itself sounds the same as it always has - quite a thin, one dimensional soundstage - but I’m presuming that’s exactly how they wanted it to remain, after painstakingly mixing it in the first place and not remastering for this release. or maybe a more fitting analogy would be a bottle of really strong hair gel because the punk energy on this album is still as spikey as ever!
