Knox also had his share of grief and sadness he dealt with throughout the story, but the good thing that both Knox and Ava had were the support and love from their friends and family. Knox had this scar on his face and when I read about it for the first time I wanted to adorn his face with little kisses over that scar and the first thing Ava did when he got with Knox was kiss him exactly there 🥺🥺 I Can't. Having Ava’s perspective on everything was vital since it was centered on her and what she had gone through, but with Knox’s perspective, it gave more depth to some lingering questions I had while reading. Receiving a letter from you could stop the whole world in its tracks and I just couldn't wait to respond. Zachary Webber is a new to me narrator, but he really brought Knox to life for me and it was so so good! Their little interactions, the honesty with which they eventually relate to each other, it really pulls you into the story.Many of the students believe she lied about what happened to her and think she is a snitch and much worse. I think I would have liked to see that element play out a little more – maybe a few more random notes left in her locker to add intrigue to that element of the story. Could it be Knox, the scarred quarterback, Dane, his twin brother, or Chance, the jerk who dumped her?

There were a lot of moving parts to this story, many of which were emotionally exhausting, but I was just so caught up in the wonderful writing and by the engaging plot, that I couldn’t help but fall hard and fast for Ava and her very, very dreamy hero. When I'd read this book, I had never read anything by this author, but I was curious about this one. I also think about your thick wavy brown hair and how it felt running between my fingers while your head rested in my lap.I made a note at 42% that I thought Liam had done it and bragged to Dane, Dane went to pick her up, and didn’t remember because he was so high. But after I accepted the fact that you wouldn't leave him and come with me, I figured it wouldn't hurt to tell you that it was always you. Knox was the more mysterious character but I loved getting to dig into him and his past and learn all about it. Without skirting around the first chapter opens with the heroine waking up after being drugged and abused at a keg party.

And of course, I also think about those handwritten letters folded into intricate shapes, carefully penned on college-ruled paper. I read it late into the night, and then woke up super early thinking about it and had to immediately pick it back up despite having very little sleep. The last chapter of the book was honestly my favorite part of the book because we got to see Knox and Ava being more mature yet still madly in love with one another. After reading the blurb I was excited to get a bully romance with a secret admirer and was so ready for all that angst. A favourite moment for me was the two epilogues we receive (lucky us) because they’re so pure and hopeful.

The way the students were treating Ava was unfair and made me angry for her, like I was wanting to throw my fists at anyone who wanted to mess with Ava!
