scarlett- do i like scarlett or is it just the eldest daughter in me?? no but she is one of my abs fav fmcs ever šŸ˜šŸ˜ was she a dumbass? sometimes yes but we're blaming it on the tella effect. but her character development was šŸ¤ŒšŸ» she still was a dumbass tho hdkwiwis and the way she loves jules and her sister omggg i could neverrrrrr šŸ˜© fjsjkkd that girl is too perfect for her own good and i love her sm I know what I did was wrong. But if you're looking for a sad story where I justify what I've done, you're not going to find it. I'm the villain, even in my own story. But you were supposed to play a different role." A thing that I didn't much like in Caraval absolutely loved here and in Legendary was Garber's writing. It was so beautiful. So magical. So enchanting. The way Garber phrases things makes everything seem otherworldly and fairytalelike. Occasionally, there are minutes that get extra seconds. Moments so precious the universe stretches to make additional room for them, and this was one of them. People donā€™t get pauses like these very often. Some people never receive them at all.ā€ The writing was still fantastic, the characters INCREDIBLE, and the plot was all twisty and turny, with all of these Fates coming, and the Fallen Star, it was just wow.

Every story has four parts: the beginning, the middle, the almost-ending, and the true ending. Unfortunately, not everyone gets a true ending. Most people give up at the part of the story where things are the worst, when the situation feels hopeless, but that is where hope is needed the most. Only those who persevere can find their true ending."

Garber was a college resident director when she began writing in her spare time. She wrote several novels and received many rejections until her fourth book, a space opera, caught the interest of a literary agent. When the space opera failed to sell, Garber wrote Caraval. [1] [2] Garber has stated that she did not intend for Caraval to be the first book in a series or to be a romance when she started writing it. [3] Two sequels, Legendary [4] and Finale, [5] complete the Caraval trilogy.

He was trying to dazzle her. But dazzle was a lot like romanceā€”fantastic while it lasted, but it never lasted long enough. And Tella still wanted more. She didnā€™t want to become another nameless girl in the many stories told about Legend, a girl who fell for everything he said, just because he leaned across a boat and looked at her with stars dancing in his eyes. The girl was real that killed herself, that's why Dante has that rose tattoo. (Her name was Rosa.) I guess he felt bad but not bad enough to design a game around another suicidal death? Ugh he's gross. If it looks bad, why do you keep staring?' -- 'Just because I don't like you doesn't mean you're not pretty' -- 'If you really hated me, you wouldn't find me attractive at all' -- 'I never said I had a good taste' And Scarlett cried. She cried for the horrors he had been, and she cried for the wonders that he could have been instead." And I cried too. I cried for the horrors Scarlett's chapters put me through, and for the wonders that I could have read instead.

To my girl giuls: I can't find the words to thank you for reading this entire trilogy with me, I had the time of my life, I loved sharing theories with you and being mutually clowned and confused. This wouldn't have been the same without you, I love you lots, amo. This had to be a mistake. She already had one murderous, power-hungry father. She didnā€™t deserve another oneā€ This was actually so much better than legendary and did I enjoyed reading this? Yes!! The plot was amazing and intriguing I liked how the fates storyline was executed in this and they all were dangerously fascinating. This one was also a little painful and how the characters went through so much to save their world but the romance part in this was impeccable.Caraval might have been over, but here Tella was, inside of a dream with Legend, floating over waters of stardust and midnight while fireworks continued to fall from the sky as if the heavens wanted to crown him.

Romance buffs will have the grand, sweep-y, star-crossed-lovers ending they're looking for, while fantasy fans will walk away feeling jilted by the storytelling. Both sisters, Tella and Scarlett, have their huge obstacles to love: kidnapping, temporary death, other possessive suitors, and the whole kingdom falling down around them, to name a few. Oh, and Legend, as an immortal, actually cannot love. That's a big one, repeated almost like a mantra to the reader. How can it ever work out between Tella and Legend? It's a nail-biter until the end. Live it up, romance fans. For anyone that followed my status updates (and there were plenty - I couldn't help myself...) I was going straight up bananas. Like, let me tell you riCaraval is over, but perhaps the greatest game of all has begun. There are no spectators this time: only those who will win, and those who will lose everything. Meanwhile, Scarlett has started a game of her own. Sheā€™s challenged Julian and her former fiancĆ©, Count Nicolas dā€™Arcy, to a competition where the winner will receive her hand in marriage. Finally, Scarlett feels as if she is in complete control over her life and future. She is unaware that her motherā€™s past has put her in the greatest danger of all. He was a mess of gold hair, sea-salt blue eyes, and bitten lips, beautiful in a way only broken things could be"
