Have tried a few No7 mascaras over the years and decided to give this one a go as the qand was similar to one I had liked before but this formula is a nightmare! Overall I would definitely recommend this mascara if you have oily under eyes and can’t seem to find a mascara that won’t smudge.Be aware though it isn’t a completely budge proof mascara, it’s not swim proof and if your eyes water then you rub them then the tubes will start to slide off. The mascara literally does come off in tubes which may seem scary to some, they can resemble eyelashes but you can see they are actually flexible once taken off (see pictures below). It comes off with warm water as instructed, but this left black clumps all around my eyes, which then had to be removed with cotton wool and cleanser.

I had previously bought the other version of stay perfect mascara and loved it but this was supposed to be fantastic but was a real let down. Even though it's great how this stays on all day and doesn't smudge, it was a bit of a nuisance to remove. It doesn't smudge so that was awesome but I felt like my eyelashes looked thin it didn't add any volume. It's perfect for every day wear, however I would say it doesn't layer very well so if you are after a bolder lash, maybe for an evening look then try something like Sky high mascara by Maybelline. I loved the color and it was very easy to apply until it came time to do the second coat, which I personally like to do. I found waterproof mascaras marginally better and they held the curl better when I curled my lashes. You can put a different "fan out" mascara on later in the day/night if you require a bigger effect such as a night out or whatever but I never bother, I just use some eyeliner, top up any gaps with this and off I go!Don't worry though, the hard-wearing formula is easy to remove, simply soak a reusable cotton wool pad in hand-hot water and watch your mascara melt away. Really the only thing is that it flakes a little but it’s super easy to just brush these off from under your eyes and they leave absolutely no marks unlike other mascaras. This mascara is great to be used as a second coat, and it stops any mascara underneath from smudging. This new formula is clumpy to apply, flakes off throughout the day but is equally almost impossible to remove.
