Before I begin rambling like a lunatic about how incredible this novella is, I have to address one very important point.

Admittedly, I do have a special love for this kind of novella, the one that comes after full-length novels. With no access to the outside world, Elisabeth and Nathaniel have to work together to discover the source of the magic before they're due to host the city's Midwinter Ball. Nathaniel is still the same suave, intelligent, and devilishly handsome boy that deserves all the love and fortune the universe has to offer. Elisabeth and Nathaniel are simply adorable together, they tease each other and are authentic, and they also have each other’s back no matter what. I understand I can change my preference through my account settings or unsubscribe directly from any marketing communications at any time.I’m a tremendous sucker for intimate found family moments, and we get plenty of those in this novella. She might never know who had written the dedication, or how long ago, or to whom, but she could briefly clasp hands with them across eternity, a chance meeting of souls made possible by their shared love of a story. I’m gonna be honest, before I started reading this, I didn’t really remember much from the previous book so I did have to read a couple summaries I found online, but after I started remembering who the characters were and what had happened, I was so happy to be back into this world.

Much like Sorcery of Thorns reminded me of the power books wield, Mysteries of Thorn Manor reminded me of the love they carry, too. even though he's a demon mostly incapable of real feelings, he's still able to show that he does care about the people around him, which is amazing.
