Detail has also been painstakingly preserved, imbuing the picture with crisp edges, clean patterns, and sharp textures. Scoring Mad Men (HD, 8 minutes) – I love musical score featurettes every time they pop up on a release, but I hate how they’re always short, generic affairs that fail to convey the actual accomplishment and impact of a film or television series’ soundtrack. The story focuses on the business of the agency, and especially on the personal lives of the main characters - in particular, Don Draper (Jon Hamm). It cleverly counterpoints the 60s situation with modern sensibilities, whilst key historical events play out in the background. The series revolves around the complicated world of Don Draper, the biggest ad man (and ladies' man) in the business, and his colleagues at the Sterling Cooper . Even so, Weiner doesn’t revel in his characters’ behavior or the firm’s exploits to shock his audience (as most edgy dramas on television are obsessed with doing), but instead aims to pull back the curtain on the world of advertising, marketing, and materialism in general. In fact, there isn’t a single moment in the course of this season’s thirteen episodes that merits any critical knuckle-rapping.Due to severe weather in the South East and for the safety of our staff, our warehouse was closed between January 15th and 19th. Adding to her problems, Peggy must deal with the fallout from a short-lived affair with Campbell, an increasingly belligerent group of co-workers, and an unexpected surprise that threatens everything she’s worked so hard to achieve. Note: Our refurbished grades - Pristine, Very Good and Good - are solely based on the cosmetic condition of the phone. For them image is all - lives full of show, emotions so brittle (liver and lungs probably impaired). The Final Season Part 1 - Audio Commentaries, Technology: 1969, Gay Rights, The Best Things in Life Are Free, Gay Power, Trial of the Chicago Eight Part 1 and Trial of the Chicago Eight Part 2.

However, what I found in my relatively brief tour was a wonderfully diverse series of commentaries that explored the genesis of the show, its writing, unique subject matter, and the challenges the cast and crew faced with each episode. The writing, the acting, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the production are all top-notch. The act of watching every single episode remains a rewarding experience and, even after the mystery of Don Draper's identity has been revealed, the series continues to draw you in with its multiple story lines, witty dialogue and remarkable attention to detail. Lionsgate Home Entertainment has revealed the Blu-ray release of Mad Men: The Final Season, Part 1, which stars Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Elisabeth Moss, January Jones, Vincent Kartheiser, Christina Hendricks, Michael Gladis, Aaron Staton, Rich Sommer, Kiernan Shipka, . While watching an episode, you are unable to access the disc menu and have to restart the disc to get back into the menu, once again being forced to watch the Lionsgate logo intro, again. There are hours of behind-the-scenes footage, cast and crew interviews, and insightful commentaries from creator Matthew Weiner.
