Description

The book is written by criminologist and investigative reporter and ex detective Mark Williams-Thomas. There is nothing more frustrating and incredibly irritating and distracting than a very dull monotone voice which so easily can destroy the content of even the most brilliant book.

Prosecutors who seek the death penalty put their lives on the line if the guilty are later found innocent. You will come away from listening to this audiobook not feeling depressed or down in anyway but unexpectedly uplifted and feeling reassured that if something awful were to happen in your world, something akin to the cases the author discusses in such detail in the book that he is the man you would want on your case. The Everyman produces and presents some of the best in Irish and international performance for Cork City audiences. It involves criminal cases including those perpetrated by Peter Tobin, Jimmy Savile and Stuart Hazell, amongst many others.

He will take you on a personal journey to discuss the mind of a murderer, human fascination with killers and the cold-blooded cases which haunt him the most from around the world! author spends most the book describing his skills as a detective journalist and very little actually delving into real crime stories.

Professor Patricia Wiltshire will take you on a journey through the fascinating edgeland where nature and crime are intertwined. Sometimes when an actor narrates a factual audiobook something very important can get lost, the genuineness can get diluted and even a top class experienced actor/narrator can inadvertently destroy the true meaning behind beautifully written words, however genuine the words. This perspective and the work he has done to try and provide justice for families of unsolved murder or missing person cases was admirable. The lack of clarity harms the credibility of the book and the lack of modesty harms the readability. When I first entered the world of audiobooks I got slightly frustrated and for a while I stepped away from this format. Mark is a best-selling author and a regular on TV with his crime series on ITV and Netflix, as well as his popular magazine crime strand. Williams-Thomas makes much of his non-partisanship but he walks the walk, walking through some very dark places with families crazed and worn by grief. The subject matters were noir and this coupled with the continual monotonous tone of the reading which has already been commented on by previous readers, I simply turned off.
