Firstly, Keira Stevens isn’t British (she’s American I believe) and her “posh” English accent was just so irritating. But, there were also the moments when I loved him because of his attitude which has changed and he started protecting Elsa from everything and everyone. In Steel Princess, there are references throughout Aiden’s POVs of his worldview; he’s the player; manipulation won’t work on him anymore.

Written in Elsa’s POV, we follow along as she navigates the final year in Royal Elite, tackle Aiden head on, face some of his immoral dark side, refusing to bow down the entire time. It seems her dark and sexy new husband is actual royalty—the fae king of the Night Court—and there’s an entire world beneath the veil of Vegas.I'm looking forward to seeing how they overcome their challenges and barriers to achieve their HEA (I hope they do! It’s two years later and the stares that Aidan gave Elsa have changed into him cornering her, he is determined to make her his and won’t stop until she is. Shane East comes in with duet narration of all the male characters, but his portrayal of Aiden is mesmerizing. Elsa is not a push over, she keeps to herself because all she wants is to do well in school so she can get into Cambridge university, but the bullies just won’t let her be. It would seem there's quite a few clues throughout about an underlying plot, and I cannot wait to dive into the next one and learn more!

I liked that she showed up everyday to school and did her best to not show that her bullies were getting to her. They randomly have a close encounter and Aiden all of the sudden feels like they're going to be together. Rina Kent in an English author who’s constantly parading between France and North Africa due to her studies and her husband’s demanding job.Her heroes are often killers and anti-heroes and her books are always sprinkled with darkness, angst, violence, and lots of heat. But I don’t understand resulting complications–then again I believe that is by far the last thing I should be cross-examining. It didn’t help when Aiden threatened her during their first ever interaction in front of their peers.

If you are riding the wave of Bully or Dark High School Romance, you will enjoy the hell out of this book. He doesn’t outright bully her, but he also doesn’t do anything about it and since one word from him to the other students would stop it, she blames him for starting it and letting it go on. While it’s easy to think that he is the sole piece of power on the game board at Elite Royal, one must realize that the Exchequer is just as capable of manipulating the game as he is. It was very obvious to me (someone who has been born and bred in London) that it was put on, and I wanted to scream at the way she pronounced water. As long as we have a massive TBR pile on our bookshelves, or Kindle Unlimited, we can shelter in place for days, weeks, months.
