In Dead Men Tell No Tales players take on the role of pirates ransacking the Skelit’s Revenge while it’s consumed by flames.

When doing this action the player will take a tile off the deck and add it to the ship so that all doors connect or have the ability to connect to doorways from prior tiles. Dead Men Tell No Tales definitely has a unique theme as it is one of the only pirate games that is also cooperative.

Moving around the ship can cause fatigue; whenever a pirate moves to a more fiery location he takes fatigue based on the increase.

Dead Men probably isn't a great choice for a first cooperative game, because there are a lot of complex systems all running at the same time.The art in DMTNT is wonderful and The Kraken expansion (and miniature upgrade kit) truly elevates the game and creates a much more immersive experience. It almost behooves you to keep your fires at different levels to avoid something like that from happening. But beware, there are still enemy pirates lurking, and some nasty guards looking to make sure you don’t get out alive. Pick up a Token- To pick up a token on the board, whether it’s grog, a cutlass, or coveted treasure Pirates need to spend and action to pick it up from the Room. Eliminate a Deckhand- Similar to fighting fires, the active player can remove a Deckhand token from their current room for each action point they spend.
