But I do think it’s an important book and I believe it could make an impact on someone who’s going through a hard time, while reading it. I also enjoyed the exploration of love through different relationships and particularly found the conversations with Poorna Bell and Dolly Alderton insightful and relatable. will leave your heart in a much better place' StylistAfter years of feeling that love was always out of reach, journalist Natasha Lunn set out to understand how relationships work and evolve over a lifetime.THE TOP 10 SUNDAY TIMES BESTSELLER*'This book might just change your life' Sunday Times'Wise, wonderful, moving and brilliant. I learnt a lot about the different types of love as I read through each chapter, and I read many things in this book that made me pause for a moment and consider how it might apply to me. In addition to miscarriage, there are other difficult themes and conversations in this book, and whilst they are handled gently and sensitively, through Lunn’s writing and interview style, I will include trigger warnings for bereavement, miscarriage and difficulty to conceive.

There is a lot to take from this book, and I would be surprised if there is not at least one section that each reader can find relatable or intriguing. I’ve made no secret of the fact that this year I’ve felt more at a loss with my life than I have before. This is a lovely book, personally I struggle to read but this was laid out so the sentences would flow.

Lunn tackles this from her own perspective, focussing on her experience with miscarriage and the impact this had on her and her relationships. sometimes a book we don’t expect to wholeheartedly fall in love with comes into our lives at just the right time to provide us with some much needed introspection on everything we’ve been struggling with. So learning to love someone for all their faults and layers of weirdness is a way of learning to be alive, fulfilled, and satisfied with the life that you have. i think the ideas in this book are very interesting and i enjoyed the different perspectives we got to see, at the beginning i was flying though it because i really did like it but it soon became very repetitive and i just wanted to be done with it. So it's about finding all the different people you can love, and seeing the positivity each of them brings to your life.Natasha interviews a wide range of contemporary voices and they offer discussion on everything from platonic love, familial love, motherhood and grief. There are moments in CoL that made me cry (proper ugly cry too), that made me feel very seen and comforted me in so many ways.
