Description

Due to its very low ratio of expansion to pressure, this hose has proved to be ideal for use on flexible lines in competition vehicle braking and clutch systems providing a desirable hard pedal with reduced travel. You can you tube how to release the connector bit after years of salt grit etc it could be almost impossible to separate?

I left the original clutch hose in place while I routed the new one to ensure that I fitted it correctly and still managed to get it on the wrong side of the A/C pipe. Stainless steel tube, Kunifer pipe, stainless steel braided TFE brake and clutch hose (with and without black PVC cover), fuel hose with neoprene cover or stainless braided outer, Acetylene and master cylinder gravity feed tube. When you depress the clutch pedal, the clutch fluid pipe (or clutch hose) transfers the hydraulic fluid into the clutch system to disengage the clutch.

Adrian gave me for the inner wing block was a surprise if I'm honest as I wasn't expecting metric, but now you've said the same it seems this oddball mix is right. Three (that's 3) Jubillee clips on each end of the new hose made sure it couldn't slide off under pressure.

And might have used a spanner over the pipe to give more pushing power on the rear of the mating part. I did find it was hard then just snapped together, only to find I had routed the pipe over rather than under near the bulkhead but was able to wiggle the whole thing to the point of being correct. VAT (Value Added Tax) is charged at 20% on all purchases shipped within the UK (with the exception of certain items such as books). Extruded Teflon tube with stainless steel single wire braid cover and clear PVC outer protective cover - cover must be cut back to take fittings.

The Fiat "Quick Release" connector for the clutch line suffers a classic example of disimilar meta corrosion. Bearing in mind the master and slave cylinders seem absolutely fine, it's just the coupling that's damaged I'm thinking of just cutting the pipes (I think they afre 8mm? The sustem has a metal Bundy pipe along the back of the engine from the master cylinder and impossible to access with engine in the car.

Anyway it's the clutch I'm really interested in, did you ever confirm what the fixing sizing is on the wing and master cylinder (and clutch servo if you have that too)? Care must be taken in fitting to ensure that the hoses do not contact any moving part under conditions of extreme suspension travel and/or full steering lock.

Ah, yes requires "some force" to push all those metal fingers back can't quite remember think I jammed the big part against the car(Not plastic clip? When I did my clutch I dropped the seal and didnt realise that there was supposed to be a seal there! We do not offer any guarantee of their suitability for any purpose beyond usage on off road vehicles under conditions of regular inspection. Oh, I didn’t mention that I used my entire collection of 3/8” extension bars to reach the 13mm nuts securing the master cylinder!

I knew I should have left the old lines in place and just changed the cylinders (that’s a joke by the way!
