Description

Megatron was originally a humble miner, but the injustices perpetuated by the corrupt Senate pushed him into becoming a prominent, if controversial, civil rights advocate, and, eventually, the founder of the Decepticon movement. Megatron's political struggles bemused his nominal friend, the power-hungry Orion Pax, who used his connections to spring Megatron from prison whenever the Decepticon leader got himself in trouble with the establishment, but over time disagreements drove a wedge between the two former friends. One day, while Megatron lead an anti- empurata rally outside the Senate building, Senate officer Prowl wound up brutalizing the Decepticon Ratbat; when Megatron intervened, he came to blows with Prowl and landed himself in jail. Shattered Glass #2 The sight of a humble ex-miner taking on the Senate inspired Starscream, who later joined the Decepticons. Shattered Glass #3 He and Alpha Trion discussed their plot to assassinate both faction leaders as the final step in their paths of personal conquest, with Trion's agent going after Megatron while Rodimus's agents took down Optimus Prime. Rodimus concluded the conversation by saying that once Prime and Megatron were out of the way, Trion would be free to rule Cybertron, while Rodimus would have complete control over Earth. Reunification: Part 3

My Greatest Second Chance: Breakdown once left his then best friend, Bulkhead, to fend for himself when the Functionaries were responding to Pro-Decepticon activity that Bulkhead was taking part in. When telling Raf the story, he says that joining the Decepticons himself felt like a chance to do good. Motor Mouth: Blurr does this but in a twist on the usual concept, he can actually talk at normal speed. His internal narration implies that he has to put effort into slowing his speech down and dislikes having to do it. In the present day, Rodimus promised that his assassins would take down Optimus Prime at the same time Alpha Trion's agents took down Megatron, thus paving the way for their own conquering. Reunification: Part 3Self-Imposed Exile: Where Megatron is when we first find him, he was defeated in combat by Optimus and believes this is what led to the Autobot victory and thus he's no longer fit to lead. No One Could Survive That!: Averted. After Blurr is melted by the volcano, Starscream stays with his body all night to make sure he's dead before leaving. As with the original mold, this Ultra Magnus is not designed to hitch Deluxe/Legends Class cars due to how the trailer is designed, though you can mount one of them (albeit not securely) on top of it. Following the original five issue mini-series, a follow up series was announced for 2022; Transformers: Shattered Glass II. Evil Former Friend: Megatron and Orion Pax/Optimus Prime. They used to fight for equality together, but Orion's own desire for power eventually caused him to betray Megatron and undermine the entire Decepticon-cause.

Great Offscreen War: The Great War in this continuity is over by the time of the start of the series with the Decepticons having lost and Cybertron being divided between Optimus Prime, Goldbug, and Prowl. Before he was known as Optimus Prime, he is sometimes an archivist known as Optronix, and other times a Senator called Orion Pax. Strike, my Autobots! Strike with all the power at your disposal! Let those who see our wisdom join us, and those who choose to stagnate be cut out like the rotting cancer they are!"

Product Added

Standard Post-Apocalyptic Setting: The Autobot-Decepticon War has left Cybertron devastated with much of the planet outside of the domains run Optimus, Goldbug, and Prowl being inhospitable. The Leader: Megatron obviously, though his Heroic BSoD prevents him seeing himself as such at first. Ultra Magnus isn't much better, showing little regard to the drones under his command and demoting and punishing his crew if they fail him even once.
