When it comes to perfume on my skin, a lot don’t really last that well on it, but I DEFINITELY do think that curious lasts so good. I always decant when I wear it to work, and get about three hours of wear time before I need to touch up. I knew friends at school who wore this and I got my first bottle with the dusting powder in 2012 along with a bottle of Fantasy and I have never looked back. What caught my interest was the pear, and I wanted to add another floral perfume to my growing collection. Overall I’m not in love with Curious just because I think it does smell a little too “old lady perfume” for me.

Curious is interesting and delicate as it starts with a slight powder nibble on magnolia and lotus petals. I can definitely see how some may think this is old lady-ish: it reminds me of a powder compact, Johnson's baby lotion, and a flower garden all in one.Maybe a bit too youthful for my age bracket but puts me in such a good mood that I really don't mind. I got this as a gift back when they used to sell it with the vintage style long cable applicator with the tassel at the end. The description of this fragrance is spot on: "Britney Spears' Curious is a lively, bright and effervescent fruity floral, aimed at twentysomethings with attitude. In me is prominent the magnolia, pear, lotus and a little bit jasmine, I think his sweetness is from the pear and jasmine, I don't feel it woody or vanilla note.

Also for the smell to really flourish, try putting on moisturizer first, or spraying it after a shower or on a humid or rainy day. Didn't feel that refreshed after I've sprayed it though, sometimes I genuinely wondered if the scent of ’nature’ would've been better than this.

Please, if anyone from the perfume companies are reading our reviews, stop watering down and changing iconic and/or hugely popular perfumes. it is a beautiful light and airy floral, that i find myself reaching for on hot humid days when I want to feel a bit fresher, as it makes me feel clean, much like if i’d just taken a cold shower. Sadly the bottle is a shadow of its former self, with a cheap, tacky blue plastic atomizer, and no crystal heart charms adorning the neck. Perfumes with natural ingredients often smell different in batches based on the source of the ingredients, while synthetic ingredients usually have consistency in their smell and lasts longer.

Britney Spears design house launched Curious in 2004 as a lively bright and effervescent fruity floral perfume.While I do get a nice fresh pear accord at first, it morphs into a powdery/warm floral, not quite an Oriental but close, with a bit of the "shampoo/soap" that other reviewers mentioned. I mean, it’s just perfection and if i actually had to describe it in one word id say it smells expensive. It's neither too young/immature nor too adult; It's a perfume that I know I can come back to time after time. In 2000 I was 3 so I don’t really remember the early years lol but I can sure as hell remember the time when Britney dropped the Toxic music video.

It was probably one of the first real perfumes I tried (assuming the glittery barbie perfume sets don’t count) and it just wasn’t me. I received it as a gift and was a little worried that it wouldn’t be for me as I’m a little picky with classic sweet fragrance blends. I was (am) a huge Britney fan, so after I used this bottle up I bought Fantasy and was on that kick for awhile. The magnolia note is what I get the most of on me but it's also a bit gourmandishly sweet in the same way that Candie's by Candie's is, I can't really describe it but kinda reminds me of fruity caramel popcorn.
