W. is pretty awesome and I like Luffy losing over and over again but Crocodile not bothering to properly finish him off because he underestimates him. The series is so consistently fun and the Characters are incredible, but I always laughing half because it's a great moment and half because it's like watching and old recording of you and your friends goofing around. The ending is fine and I like Vivi staying in Alabasta not because she's completely useless but because having a character tag along for a while without needing to join the crew is a really good idea. One piece has always been my favorite anime so when I decided it was time to start my collection of the manga, this could not have been a better deal. Especially cause this series relies really heavily on character interactions, so introducing nee people for the crew to interact with is always pleasant.

These early volumes also include a number of “cover stories”, most of which are fun, one of which is really important. Romance Dawn: 8/10; I love the Luffy origin story stuff, and it’s great to see some of the seeds that get planted so early and Zoro’s introduction. I think I read most, if not all, of these volumes as a kid but it was great fun starting my catch up by a re-read. Sets up Coby and Helmeppo casually, the Marines as a if not corrupt then definitely doubtful organization and Zoro as an absolute badass. chapters might seem like a lot, but if these first 200ish is supposed to be the weakest then the rest is doubtlessly a masterpiece.

Pictures would be more useful than my descriptions alone, so I'll upload some and add them to this review at a later date.Volumes 10,11, and 12 have a lot of action including scenes where Luffy's crew fights the fish-men because they lied and betrayed Nami. I felt relieved when Luffy defeated the fish-men and I felt like I wanted to read more of one piece because it is a very big series and I got hooked into it a lot. If something unexplained pops up in a earlier story, it almost always gets picked back up at a much later date. Years later, Luffy sets off on his quest to find the "One Piece," said to be the greatest treasure in the world.
