It’s important to note that the main ingredient of this formula is actually Salix Alba Bark Water, which supposedly comprises 88% of the product. This ingredient is derived from the white willow tree, and contains salicin - a substance that can turn into salicylic acid under the right conditions, but isn’t exactly the same thing. Willow bark water is a popular ingredient for acne-related products because it helps to soothe inflamed skin, and not because it can act as a BHA substitute. I actually used this for toner masking, I leave it on for 5 minutes and felt a cooling sensation which feels so relaxing. After that my skin feels so smooth and look plumper, I woke up the next day and my skin still looks like that. And it’s already been over 12 hours and skin still looks smoother, plumper, less oily, and a little bit brighter. I highly recommend toner masking the Two in One Poreless Power Liquid if you have a big event the next day. Pump the liquid and gently pat on your face for absorption. To form a better synergy, use with cotton pad and wipe off face avoiding lip and eye area.”

Cosrx are everyone’s favourite brand because they have simple, super effective products. I’ve continually turned to them for years now, and some of their products are my HG skincare items. They’ve been releasing lots of new products this year, which is very exciting, and this was one of them! Enter the Two in One Poreless Power Liquid. I’ve been using this on and off for the past 5 months and here are my thoughts.

I apply this after cleansing and applying toner on my skin. I dispense 2 pumps into my hand and pat onto the skin, avoiding the eyes and lips area. But take note, I learned that people with an allergy to aspirin will react poorly to the betaine salicylate. Salix Alba Bark Water, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Hydroxypropyl Cyclodextrin, Aqua/Water, Ethyl Hexanediol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Betaine Salicylate, Arginine, Betaine, Allantoin, Panthenol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Pentylene Glycol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Menthyl Lactate, Mentha Haplocalix Extract, Disodium Phosphate, Sodium Phosphate. It contains 0.1% BHA to clear out congestion and deep-seated dirt. It’s also rich in tannin to tighten enlarged pores and features** 88% willow bark extrac**t to fight acne and kill bacteria. The 0.1% BHA here is a betaine salicylate NOT a salicylic acid which is more common. The scent is very light, and kind of sweet chemical? It’s nothing like the unpleasant scent of BPL, which I make do with because the product works so well for me. CONS: Personally, I haven’t found any cons. No bullsh***! But I have oily, acne-prone, and a little sensitive skin. And we all have different skin types.
