By age 20, she’d caught the ear of Ryan Adams, who listened to her perform her song ‘Killer’ in his LA studio, inviting her to come back and record it there the next day. The session blossomed into the three song ‘Killer’ EP, released to much acclaim on Adams’s Pax Am label in 2015. From the weeping strings and Twin Peaks twangs of opening track Smoke Signals, to the simple heartbreak of Funeral and melancholic crescendo of Scott Street, Stranger in the Alps is a swooningly beautiful record with a gothic heart. I’m not sure how often I will want to listen to this record, but I am sure that I want it in my collection.

Just got it new (selaed), after an intense cleaning on my Okki Nokki still a LOT of noise, even more as some 70ies records in my collection. I've cleaned the record well and made sure my stylus is clean, but it seems like this may just be a noisier pressing.

The highs are very clear and bright, the mid range is exquisite and the low end is perfect , not too muddy or full. Demi Moore' by Whatever Mom Music (ASCAP) / Pizza Money Music (ASCAP) / Harrison Whitford Music (BMI). Pressing itself sounds fantastic which I'm greatful for considering most of the limited coloured variants have issues. Beautiful pressing, but I also experienced the same surface noise on the opening tracks of both sides of the record.
