I also had a lot of fun with the outstanding ariel combat scenes that are featured through the plot. I really admire how Andy Chamber made the characters in Path of the Renegade compelling and almost tragic figures, and I tried to do likewise. DF: I submitted two stories for the 2018 open submission and received a rejection letter shortly afterwards. With a run time of 10 hours, this is a pretty quick audiobook to get through, and I managed to power through it in a few days. At the same time, a mysterious sickness is destroying the planet itself, while its governor is determined to downplay the war no matter the cost.Not because of a desire for glory and fame (though that certainly is a driving force too), but because somewhere under his neuroses and insecurities is a spark of goodness, and an unwillingness to look the other way.

I also enjoy the moments within stories where a twist changes everything yet makes perfect sense, to the point where you almost want to start the story over just so you can see how the idea was foreshadowed. Everything comes together extremely well at the end, and I loved some of the brilliant revelations and secrets that come out as the story concludes. I deeply enjoyed the great voices he attributed to the various characters of Outgunned, and every cast member was given a fitting voice that really worked for them. Determined to make the situation work, Simlex attempts to chronicle the reluctant Shard’s skills, while also investigating the strange occurrences on Bacchus. I felt that Sacramento really captured each of these characters extremely well, and you get a real feel of their rough emotions as they attempt to navigate the terrible situations of the book.While there are some great supporting figures throughout Outgunned, I am going to limit myself to the main two characters who most of the story revolves around.
