About this deal

These 22 DIY mushroom hats are perfect for getting your kids in the fun fall spirit or for wearing for the winter holidays. After ironing the gathers down, I stitched the two ends together, and onto the brim of the hat, then hot glued the other side of the gills to the crown.

The creator used Fosshape 30, cotton batting, lace, interfacing, cotton gauze, cabochons, and lots more. Rn I’m just testin out and old red shirt but I think I’m going to invest in some red felt or fabric soon. This pattern is for a size small, perfect for fairy gardens or in your own home as a little piece of nature. They'd also be perfect for Halloween, especially if you have more than one child that needs costumes! Mushroom hat from start to finish 🍄 It’s been 3 years since I first shared the tutorial to make this mushroom hat on my blog— so I’m finally hopping on here to share this year’s rendition. Accessories: Think of ivy crowns, wands shaped like twigs, or even shoes that look like they’ve been crafted from the very heart of an ancient tree. Graceful movements, a tinkling laugh, and perhaps even a sprinkle of eco-friendly glitter can transform the wearer, making them the star of any event. This week my co-host Angie from The Country Chic Cottage, and our Guest Host Jen from 100 Directions and I, along with our creative friends from around the ‘net are sharing fast Halloween crafts that can be done in 15 minutes or less!

You can use any fabric for the caterpillar body, such as a stretch waistband, Ponte Roma, or other stretch fabrics. The materials are as follows; you’ll need large cardboard, white fabric, glue gun, red felt fabric, and lots more. This Toadette Mushroom Hat is a quick and easy sewing project you can make for your own little mushroom princess. All you need are a few items like; cardboard, styrofoam, gauze fabric, marker, scissors, a sewing machine if you have one or hand sewing as you may prefer, and lots more. I cut one 53″x36″ sheet of lightweight linen into 4 strips measuring 9″x53″, and sewed the strips together into one long 9″x~210″ strip.I’ll be showing you how to make a no-sew mushroom hat that you can pair with any white clothing that you already own. It won’t be super noticeable if you try to scrunch up consistently the same amount as you go all the way around.
