This year’s offer is a little more intergalactic and is inspired by the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Disney+ Holiday Special. It’s honestly so boring, and unlike other builds, there’s nothing “Guardians of the Galaxy” about this build. After yesterday’s slightly disappointing Tool Rack, we get another minifigure, weaponry and demolitions expert Rocket Raccoon! The instructions are a little tricky, so it took me a while to realise that these were 2 separate ships, and not meant to join together. While we don’t yet know the context behind 76231 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar and therefore whether or not it would have made sense to include Gamora, the lack of a new minifigure for her stands out considering the rest of the team are included.I love the music from GotG and although I couldn’t get hold of the soundtrack they released on cassette tape at the time I watched GotG I actually bought a tape deck, hooked it up to our surround sound dvd player and recorded Awesome Mix Vol 1 onto a blank cassette from my laptop so I could listen back to it on all its crackly glorious-ness.
