About this deal

I will be going back to my bookshelf and reading those because they were REALLY funny- much better than Dog Man has become. The fleas tried to turn a car supa evil using living spray, but Zuzu stole the living spray and runs to the Cinema. Meanwhile, Our hero, Dog Man is being drove up to Dog Jail (Note: this is similar to cat jail but for dogs) and the warden removes Dog man’s collar.

Petey reveals that he was in the Critter Scouts as a young kitten, and was kicked out after an incident in which the scouts turned on each other. I still love that Petey's character development isn't undone at the end, and that being good is a process that you don't always get right, and that you have to make up for your misdeeds even if you've changed, but. The best thing about these books, for me, is that the author/illustrator has ADHD and dyslexia and he *understands* spirited kids who don't fit inside the school box. He's routinely criticized for behaving like a dog, but in big moments it's usually his canine instincts that save the day. Meanwhile, Sarah, Zuzu, 80-HD, and Li'l Petey arrive at Dog Man's house and check the security cameras. But Yolay fights him and booger breath tells them where the fake Dog Man went and runs away from Yolay, crying. The previous few books were more original and emotional than Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild, but this is a nice episode to the series. Li'l Petey has made adjustments to his Kitty Scooter, making it a Cat Hog while singing The Supa Buddies Theme Song.

I decided that I wanted to read some of the books that so many of the students that I work with are reading. I was really pleased to see that not only was he grappling with keeping up the good behavior in this book, he did not let his darker impulses win (aside from yelling at Big Jim, which, okay, he could have handled that better, but Big Jim hugged him without asking and that's not okay either). Petey plans to run away, but Lil' Petey convinces him to stay and fight Piggy, who has become a villain.Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild continues the story of Dog Man's neverending pursuit of justice, as well as Petey the cat's struggle with his own villainous nature. In chapter one, Chief receives a written invitation from Italian actress Yolay Caprese to the Dog Man movie premiere. Meanwhile, at cat jail, Lil Petey had just finished helping his papa create the RoboBee and tells him another joke, making Petey angry.

This one in particular is an outright clone of the second book, but instead it's the FLEAS (not Flippy) masquerading as Dog Man (not Petey). Chief and the other dogs go down the stairs to watch the new dog man movie while Sarah and Yolay run up the stairs save Zuzu and fights the evil fleas. At first they think it's the tooth fairy, but they soon realized that none of them have lost a tooth, and decide to bring the money to the cops. Yolay tires her skill, ‘’people skills,’’ and a man Yolay nicknamed Booger Breath, is angry to see Yolay.

Dog Man chews up the enclosed tickets before realizing their value, but Yolay comes through by sending another twenty tickets for the red-carpet event. In Dog Man: Mothering Heights they tease Dog Man for having a Cone on his head by saying Cone Head multiple times.

Meanwhile, Chief and 80-HD finally find Dog Man, but the evil warden tells them its too late to save him because Dog Man's spirit is broken. Meanwhile, at the police station, Chief is feeling sad because Dog Man was jailed, until 80-HD comes in and wants him to save dog man, from dog jail. Dog Man is a terrific cop not in spite of his dual nature, but because of it, the melding of human and animal instinct.
