About this deal

Tommy looked up to his team he really did. Without them he doesn't know where he would be, they all have helped him so much. Not only them but their friends and families as well. Without them, he wouldn't have the support group he does. No, I don’t think so. Her mum was a bit funny about it actually. I’m not sure that they approve of us.” In Third place in the Teen solo division is… Eleanor Rigby. “ (shhh I'm not good at making up unique character names) Tommy and Tubbo were in an empty rehearsal room. Puffy was sitting in the corner controlling the music and helping to remind the boys of little things they needed to fix.

The themes that run throughout the book are belonging, growing up, LGBTQIA+ issues, family troubles, acceptance and the importance of friendship among siblings and friends.

2. What qualities are you most proud of in yourself?

I loved the book for lots of reasons. Like Josh I didn't know my father (different situation) I understood the need to know what he liked and what he was like, just as Josh does. Though I do not like that Josh lied and traveled to meet a stranger I think Hagger-Holt did a good job of showing young readers why this is so dangerous. I hate when writers use this in a plot but never show the consequences. I felt Josh's desperation to know his dad and I understand why he took such risks. Her name’s Carli,” I object, “not ‘the new girl’.” I’ve been hoping to bump into Carli all morning, yet now that she’s in front of me, I feel to shy to go over.” Tommy acted as if he was in pain. That's what this whole dance was about. appreciating what you HAVE before it turns into what you HAD because once something is gone you can't do anything about it. so you feel this pain instead of regretting not doing something while you had the chance. But it's also okay to feel this pain and regret, to let it all out, but just as long as by the end of it, you learn from your mistakes and you take a piece of that knowledge with you and continue through life. Slowly the music came to an end and with it the dance. The boys knew they gave it their best as they walked off the stage breathing heavily and with a smile on their faces. Nothing could possibly ruin that moment for either one of the boys. Tommy broke away from the hug to go warm up. This duet between him and Tubbo was one Tommy had been looking forward to all week. It was just a fun contemporary dance that had just the right amount of sharp movement that both the boys could work with.

The dance was about 3 minutes long but by the end of it, both Tommy and Tubbo were exhausted. It was their final run before the actual show so they both had committed to it and gave it all that they had. They didn't care about him when they were still here, let alone when they left, why should Tommy stop everything that he's doing for them? He had nations coming up, he didn't need them as a distraction. Tommy couldn't help but groan, he had forgotten all about them coming home. Apparently, they wanted to come home for spring break, unlike all the past years when they would just stay at their college and hang out with friends. After 4 years Tommy would get to see his brothers again. The same brothers who hated his guts. This will be a rather short review (for me) because it’s a contemporary book that’s written for children so there aren’t lots of things to dissect. Just a main plot, I feel. Tommy had been working on this dance for weeks now. He had recently gotten into the contemporary style so this was a big change from his normal hip hop but Tommy wasn't hating it. In fact, he was loving it.

The two danced like there was no tomorrow. Moving around each other as if it was second nature which at this point it basically was. They were brothers related or not, and it really showed how they danced with each other. Tommy smiled so brightly as he jumped up and hugged Tubbo. Of course, they got first. They were the ultimate duo. No one could deny that. Ridin' through the city, glizzy'd up, they can't get rid of me ( Glizzy'd up, they can't get rid of me) Walking hand in hand toward the announcer Tommy smiled so brightly at the crowd, nothing could ruin this moment. Just because I don’t have actual evidence, documents that show Eli and I have the same donor, doesn’t stop hoping that it’s true. But to be totally sure, I need to actually meet Eli for myself.I Figured you'd say that. Promise me that if you need to take a break you'll tell me. I don't want to overwork you. I already have you sitting out of the group dance because I know if you do that you will overwork yourself.” Puffy always treated Tommy as if he was her own. And Tommy appreciated that. Puffy was the one who helped Tummy after Kirtsan died, she was the one who Tommy went to for help and she never turned him away. Tommy walked up to the front of the stage where the announcer was standing with a couple of girls next to him helping pass out the trophies and awards. In school on Monday, I look out for Carli. We’ve still only spoken once. All I know about her is that she’s American. That’s it. Josh's journey was what really stood out to me though. As someone who has gone through fertility treatment myself, it always irritates me how people will toss suggestions around of donation etc as if it's really straightforward and simple. I can definitely think of more than a few adults who could do with reading this book, as just a basic introduction to some of the complexities that can arise. Unfortunately our biology is something that we're seemingly drawn to need to know about, and I could totally understand Josh's desperation. As the announcer got closer and closer to second place Tommy could feel his nerves acting up. What if his and Tubbo's duet didn't place, what if Niki and Aimsey didn't place? So many possibilities.

And the music started. False Confidence by Noah Kahan filled the air and Tommy and Tubbo were off. Performing this elegant dance, Puffy of course corrected them on facial expressions and body language and overall their body techniques but other than that it was just Tommy and Tubbo doing what they loved. Wow, what a ground breaking middle grade novel. I really enjoyed Sarah Hagger-Holt’s “Nothing Ever Happens Here” and I was excited to read this. Tommy pointed with his right hand as he circled his body, following his hand came Tommy's foot in a straight line. But no, I’ve been through all of that in my mind already too many times. It’s up to me to do something. Now.” I don't know where to start! So many positive things to say about this story and the characters within it.In the same motion, Tommy threw his hand down as his right foot slid behind him into his turning position. Here came the big turn. Puffy, I promise I won't push myself too far,” Tommy said savoring in the warmth Puffy was providing. Through the ups and downs it all comes together to leave you with a full-heart and a lovely rounded ending (my biggest peeve is a poorly finished or rushed ending). Tommy starts off as the goofy silly one, trying to get Tubbo to lighten up but it moves on to both of them being emotional towards each other. With them helping each other.
