It is worth to know the history of this botanical garden in Malaga before visiting it so you can understand better its origin. A history that begins by the half of the 19th century, years in which the park was a meeting point for high aristocracy and other famous personalities from Malaga. The name of the park ‘The Battery’ comes because there was an Anti-aircraft battery during the Spanish Civil War. Actually the battery and the bunker are restored and it is a curious place you can visit. Last summer, we were traveling in southern Germany on a camping trip and decided to stop at Playmobil Fun Park in Zirndorf just outside of Nuremberg, Germany. My husband used to play with Playmobil (Spiele) toys when he was a child, and our children have also enjoyed playing with Playmobil. Among the highlights of this park are the big slides with up 11 meters height and 8 meters long, elastic mats, springs for jumping, swings for children with reduced mobility and even a zip line among other attractions. But again, I love how you can easily distract a disappointed kid here, because there was also a huge helicopter that grabbed his attention and he was more than content with! Paddle Boats
They had clearly-marked signs for where people could park, and there were special lots just for people with campers. We had no problem fitting in the lot and even noticed that a few other campers were pulling up at the same time. When we were planning our trip to southern Germany, we thought that this would be a perfect place to visit, since we are big fans of the Playmobil toys. I have to say truthfully, though, that I wasn’t completely sure about it. My Concerns about Playmobil Before we Arrived As awesome as this area was, we decided to only spend a few minutes here because Germany has some pretty stellar playgrounds with similar activities, so instead of spending time on that we wanted to continue on to more unique stuff at Playmobil Land.We actually didn’t even get over to this area, but supposedly, it is perfect for the youngest explorers. Right next to the pirate ships is an area where kids can climb on some more structures and even dig for “treasures” (pay a Euro and get a little treasure box to “collect” your booty in!) Tip #9: Got Wet Clothes? No Problem! Use the Dryers! The main entrance to the park is on the ascent road that goes from the roundabout called ‘Rotonda de los Molinillos’ in Benalmadena Costa. Getting to Playmobil Park is quite easy. First you need to get to Nuremberg which has its own airport with a reasonable selection of low-cost and legacy airlines connections. This natural park has a playground area with slides in form of pipes and a soft floor to prevent children of being injured after falling.Snoozing Time:” There are a few weeks in November when the outdoor park areas are closed but the indoor climbing area (best for 5 year olds+) is still open ….for only €1.50!!! #WINNING!!!! Parque de la Bateria’ (Battery Park) is in Montemar (Torremolinos), just on the other side of the bridge crossing the railroad. We can highlight the artificial lake with boats and the extensive playground area for children at the end of the park on the oriental side. Life's an adventure when you are a part of the Playmobil family! Go skiing, head to the beach or take a road trip out to the summer villa. This Theme is all about imaginary family adventures. Mix with City Life to further expand your story!
The restaurant in the main indoor area is also serving breakfast. To our surprise it was quite popular in the morning. Clearly the Germans do like to start their day early ? We were absolutely stoked when we pulled in and saw that there was a free electric car charger at Playmobil! (anyone who knows me, knows I have a legitimate fear of our car running out of battery!) Opening Times The park offer activities for different ages, from a zip line to ping-pong tables and swings. This park is one of the playgrounds in Malaga you shouldn’t miss. There 2 main pirate boats that the kids can climb all up into and play around in as well. There were also little raft boats they can row themselves over the lake, water cannons to shoot, rope bridges to carefully walk over the water, and so much more.
