Comics printed in Doctor Who Weekly included a recap segment that covered up part of the original artwork. The recap was not included in the Marvel Premiere and Doctor Who (1984) reprints, restoring the original artwork. [1] Upon explaining how the Dalek Emperor's simulation is based on children's books from the 21st century, the Doctor states that at the time "before the invasion", most people on Earth thought the Daleks were a myth like Bigfoot. Russell T. Davies will be returning as showrunner and head writer for the foreseeable future of Doctor Who, with confirmed plans through at least Series 15. The time tourists' line, "'All over'? Well... it is now" is based on the famous final words of Kenneth Wolstenholme's BBC TV commentary of the World Cup final.

Upon trying to start a moral debate, the Doctor tells the Supreme Dalek to call the Archbishop of Canterbury. This in turn makes David Tennant the first actor to portray two separate mainline incarnations of the Doctor and the fourth actor to play multiple separate incarnations of the Doctor, along with Tom Baker who portrayed the Fourth Doctor from Robot to Logopolis and the Curator in The Day of the Doctor, Colin Baker who played the Sixth Doctor from The Caves of Androzani to The Ultimate Foe, another form of the Curator in Stranded 4, and an alternate Fifth Doctor in Doctor of War, and Richard E Grant, who played versions of the Tenth and Ninth Doctors in The Curse of Fatal Death and Scream of the Shalka respectively. After its destruction, the Doctor refers to his sonic screwdriver as a "Swiss Army sonic" and recalls it being made out of Sheffield steel. ( TV: The Woman Who Fell to Earth) Raxacoricofallapatorians, aliens who, in the form of Slitheen and Slitheen-Blathereen, originally appeared throughout Russell T Davies's original era as showrunner from 2005 to 2010.

This was not the first non-televised story to feature the first full, post-regenerative story for the Doctor, as the audio drama Light the Flame was the War Doctor's first post-regenerative story. From creatures seen filming on set, it is very likely that one of the 60th anniversary specials will feature the Wrath Warriors and Beep the Meep, Doctor Who aliens first seen in a 1980 comic strip.

The boy shoots at the Supreme with his " Anti-Dalek Fluid Gun" and it remarkably works, impairing it and forcing it to demand its drones to analyse the fluid inside. Georgette, however, knows that it is simply water; the Doctor explains that the Daleks themselves are not just rubbing off, but are becoming anatomically unstable from leaving their simulated universe. He theorises that the TARDIS' artron energy allowed them to temporarily maintain their form but should dissolve soon. Georgy suddenly realises that the same fate is coming for her, being a psychoplasmic construct too, but the Doctor is too busy with the Daleks to focus on her. Angry and crying, she recounts to Georgette all the previous deaths and Dalek invasions she lived through in previous simulations and runs away in fear. The Emperor of the Restoration, ( WC: The Archive of Islos) the new leader of the Imperial Daleks who based his casing upon that of the Dalek Prime. Meanwhile, the Doctor balks at the Supreme Dalek's insistence that he does not have the right to kill it, but the Supreme insists that he could not commit an execution as it remembers him, "from before". The Dalek guards insist that if the Doctor is not bluffing, then he must be a simulacrum too, and the Supreme, in its confusion, begins wildly dripping; it is starting to molecularly deconstruct from leaving its simulation. The Doctor reveals that his plan all along was to keep the Daleks talking until they disintegrate - his electrocution plan was a bluff. Upon attempting to exterminate the Doctor, the three Daleks finally collapse into a large puddle. Meanwhile, with Georgy having remembered all her past simulations, she realises there is only one place she can go to find sanctuary. Running through the Dalek Dome's corridors, she enters a room and teleports away... to Skaro. During the Last Great Time War, the Time Lords reflected that Davros' ambition to lead the Daleks created a huge schism in the Dalek hierarchy, with the resulting infighting severely reducing the expansion rate of the Dalek Empire, for which they were grateful. They investigated using the split in the Dalek hierarchy to their advantage, considering an alliance with a single Dalek faction. They were dismayed to learn from their tactical team that the Daleks were once more united and that there was no possibility of engineering division within their ranks. The sketch saw Lenny Henry, playing himself, appearing in his dressing room about to go on stage to host the Comic Relief live-show, when suddenly complaining about stomach pains from eating too much, calling out that he needed " a Doctor". Beginning to flash with regeneration energy, Henry starts to burst into a full on regeneration, suddenly turning into the Fourteenth Doctor who, in a partial re-enactment of his scene in Power, examines himself and exclaims " What?!", then notice he's gonna host the show, looks at his watch and runs off. The Daleks broke into two factions shortly after the creation of the Daleks and the destruction of the Kaled City. The Daleks realised that Davros was impure as he was not 100% Dalek and was not their leader, so they turned against him and exterminated him. ( TV: Genesis of the Daleks) The Dalek who fired on him was the Dalek Prime, who later became the Dalek Emperor. ( PROSE: The Evil of the Daleks, War of the Daleks) In a bid to restore the Daleks to power, the Supreme Dalek concocted an ambitious plan to enact revenge on several of the Daleks' enemies. The three main objectives were: Russell T. Davies has written four specials for 2023, each ranging around 60 minutes. Three of these episodes will air during November 2023, serving as the 60th anniversary specials of Doctor Who. It is most likely that the fourth special will air during the festive period of 2023 and will be Ncuti Gatwa’s first story as the Fifteenth Doctor. According to the events leading up to the Battle of Mordeela, the new Imperial Emperor had been a member of Davros' Supreme Council who exterminated all of the other members to become the new ruler. Becoming the Emperor of the Restoration, the Dalek would then forge the Restoration Empire and based its new casing upon that of ( PROSE: The Restoration Empire) the Dalek Prime who had led the Renegade Daleks. ( PROSE: War of the Daleks) Coming across a warning from a future Dalek unit regarding the Time Lord Victorious, the Emperor Dalek would enter into an uneasy alliance with the Eighth Doctor and enter the Dark Times, where they would enter a war with the Tenth Doctor's Victis Fleet in an attempt to stop him from changing history.
