About this deal

Liverpool Dry Gin is fairly classic. The hint of citrus draws comparison to both Beefeater and P lymouth, among staples that emphasize a similar those ingredients in a similar way. Named after the former Castle of Liverpool, Castle Street is one of the original seven streets Liverpool and in the past has been the heart of the city's financial district. In recent years it has undergone a "renaissance," reinventing itself as one of Liverpool's nightlife's most in-demand areas. It’s a beautiful juniper-forward Gin and Tonic and it brings a pleasant, but not-aggressive pine note to the Gin and Juice. Overall, Liverpool Gin Flavor: The palate is still juniper led; however, the other botanicals come through. Coriander and a hint of cardamom come on mid-palate, while green juniper eases into a finish with light intensity bitter orange and citrus.

We're currently polling our readers on their favourite Castle Street bars and five have emerged as clear contenders for the title. Here we take a closer look at each of them and what makes them so loved by punters. We have to start with the OG right? This one put local premium gins on the map, and we must thank them for it. It’s beautiful in its original form but comes in a variety of flavours such as lemongrass and rose petals but the real hero in the stall is the Valencian Orange. While so many gins combine several fruits or flavours, Liverpool Gin likes to go in strong with one banging hero flavour and does it well.Method: Shake and strain into a tall glass over cubed ice, and garnish with a cucumber slice and a mint sprig.

Now technically, although this is named after and inspired by a little-known area of Sicily, this gin flavoured with lemons, oranges and a pinch of sea salt is local. Created by the Carlisi brothers (of Carlisi bar on Dale Street) who are honorary scousers anyway, this is distilled right here in the city. Liverpool would be in a right state if it wasn’t for the EU, so the fact that the botanicals in this gin are authentically Sicilian makes it the perfect Scouse/European fusion. Serve with premium tonic, citrus garnish and plenty of sunshine – but be warned, you’ll have gone through a whole bottle before you realise.Part two – cover a pan with a thin cloth (a J Cloth is fine) and pour liqueur through it to strain off the granules. Carefully remove the cloth, put on a low heat – don’t let it bubble. Taste and then add a pinch of salt to enhance flavours and keep stirring while on heat until it’s all dissolved.

DELIVERY: Let the drinks come to you. ?? Plenty of bars and off-licenses delivering tonight. #StayHomeSaveLivesPart three – make the espresso martini: you’ll need vodka, the coffee liqueur and sugar syrup and double strength coffee. Get a jar to use as a shaker, an egg cup and a sieve. Add approx. 40ml vodka (2 egg cups), 20ml of coffee liqueur, 40ml of strong coffee – stir and taste, then add a splash of sugar syrup and ice and shake. Red Door – Apple and Elderflower Cooler Made with botanicals directly from our sand dunes and surrounding area, this coastal gin is like a refreshing beach walk in a glass. Serve with plenty of ice, a premium tonic water (because why tarnish a premium gin with anything less) and a slice of juicy lemon for the ultimate seaside G&T. Every bottle of Liverpool Gin is produced in the heart of Liverpool City Centre at the Liverpool Gin Distillery. The distillery is home to two bars, one dedicated to gin and the other to dark spirits, as well as a seasonal kitchen, bartending school and gin laboratories where you can distil your own full-sized bottle of gin.
