About this deal

A brilliant fantasy novel, it's astounding and the Author has written very rare aspects of the subjects! It is different and refreshing… excellent and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone. I want to thank @usbourneya for providing me with this stunning copy! I really enjoyed it so much and I can say that fans of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON will love it! i really like this book because its verrrrry creative and imaginative and it is a book i'm really looking forward to read ! Loved the characters and the quest aspect of this story. It actually had more violence than I expected from a middle-grade and it definitely didn’t shy away from some of the more “darker” themes, which was a plus for me (still kept it PG enough to be middle-grade/ya though).

A Darkness of Dragons - Goodreads

A Native American dragon of Illini people. Piasa Bird is a Native American dragon depicted in one of two murals painted by Native Americans on bluffs (cliffsides) above the Mississippi River. Patch Brightwater is a boy in disgrace. Thrown in jail for playing a forbidden spell, he is no one’s idea of a hero. But then he discovers a deadly truth – the evil Piper of Hamelyn is on the loose. Beware the talons of power and fire, — Vulture's organization, appropriately named " Talons of Power," and Peril when she burned Darkstalker's scroll, thus freeing Darkstalker. This could also be Anemone when she was allied with Darkstalker, or Darkstalker himself. Another reason it could be Anemone is because of the ceremony, where Turtle makes Anemone a fellow animus. The "fire" could refer to Peril, as she was the one to accidentally release Darkstalker. Yet another interpretation of the "fire" could be that it was referring to Vulture's organization, which had set fires. The Griffins were in danger, there were only a few left and with the start of a war, they were at risk of extinction. The Griffins join up with the gang to stop the war. After an invasion had occurred in the dungeons, his mission was to catch the evil piper from doing any harm! He had help from a dracogriff and a rat, cursed by a sorcerer.Overall the plot for this book was amazing, I immensely enjoyed the progression of the story and found every part of their journey engaging and fast passed. There was always a twist in the tale, a new character introduced or an old character returning which kept the story lively and left no room for boredom. A dragon that is represented with a spiral tail and a long fiery sword-fin. Dragons were personified as a caring mother with her children or a pair of dragons. Much like the Chinese Dragon, The Vietnamese Dragon is a water deity responsible for bringing rain during times of drought. Images of the Dragon King have 5 claws, while images of lesser dragons have only 4 claws. a Dragon like creature from French mythology, with a venomous bite, Guivre meaning wyvern or wyrm , or even serpent which the creatures name is derived from. A Vanishing of Griffins - Goodreads A Vanishing of Griffins - Goodreads

A lot is revealed in this book about the state of affairs and how things were done. Some in power prey on the insecurities of the ones who make decisions and push for more radical solutions. All of this happens after a reader (old or young) is invested emotionally with the outcome for the creatures introduced to us, making it an apt tool for discussions to be had at a later stage as to the real-life implications of such situations. After playing a forbidden spell-song to save a village from rats, 12-year-old piper Patch Brightwater is thrown in jail. But there he meets Wren – a noble girl under a rat-shaped curse – and together they befriend Barver, a fearsome dracogriff, and set off on a grand adventure filled with sorcerers, dragons, bandits…and one very deadly enemy.
