Personally I don't think you can get a more reliable modem at the moment on the market than the Vigor 130 in my opinion. Now go to [Internet Access] > [MPoA / Static or Dynamic IP] and enable the MPoA (RFC1483/2684) interface. Despite the documentation from Draytek to the contrary, the values in the "Near End" column of the detailed stats appear to be consistent with the upstream, and the "Far End" column with the downstream.In this scenario, the connected router establishes the Internet connection over its Ethernet WAN port, adding the VLAN tag on its Ethernet port. I have achieved comparable speeds and stability from using Billion 8800NL and 8800NL/R2 routers configured in modem only bridge mode (and wireless disabled). I currently have these configured and ready to go, as standby modems if my Vigor 130 was ever to fail.
