About this deal

It’s hard to keep your in this gorgeous sunshine, but this light, refreshing cooler from The Florist might just help… By Natasha Ferguson They keep saying that the gin bubble is going to burst but instead it just keeps getting bigger, and so it should – it’s delicious! Aroma: Classic and straightforward juniper led nose with a slight hint of lemon and citrus around the edges. In this city we love a bit of get up and go, an entrepreneurial spirit and of course, we love gin – so meet these 16 local gins you absolutely must sample (if you haven’t already of course)… Liverpool Gin

Named for the iconic waterfront, this delicately flavoured gin has been a firm local favourite for years. It’s pink gin but not as you know it – instead of the more obvious berries they’ve chosen roses for their colour and sweetness. It’s as sophisticated as our glorious waterfront. Named after the former Castle of Liverpool, Castle Street is one of the original seven streets Liverpool and in the past has been the heart of the city's financial district. In recent years it has undergone a "renaissance," reinventing itself as one of Liverpool's nightlife's most in-demand areas.Part three – make the espresso martini: you’ll need vodka, the coffee liqueur and sugar syrup and double strength coffee. Get a jar to use as a shaker, an egg cup and a sieve. Add approx. 40ml vodka (2 egg cups), 20ml of coffee liqueur, 40ml of strong coffee – stir and taste, then add a splash of sugar syrup and ice and shake. Red Door – Apple and Elderflower Cooler Liverpool Dry Gin is fairly classic. The hint of citrus draws comparison to both Beefeater and P lymouth, among staples that emphasize a similar those ingredients in a similar way. Then, all you need to do is simply shake, top and pour in a gin balloon glass, with cubed ice. And relax! There were two Anfield gins released around the same time and they’re both champions. This gin with a strawberry flavour and a red colour is for those who prefer a bit of added flavour to their gin while they cheer on the red men. Created by a father and daughter team of super fans, they were determined to make a gin that the local area could be proud of and we’re positive they’ve succeeded.

Liverpool to host International Club Health Conference which is focused on improving nightlife safety Made with botanicals directly from our sand dunes and surrounding area, this coastal gin is like a refreshing beach walk in a glass. Serve with plenty of ice, a premium tonic water (because why tarnish a premium gin with anything less) and a slice of juicy lemon for the ultimate seaside G&T. Part two – cover a pan with a thin cloth (a J Cloth is fine) and pour liqueur through it to strain off the granules. Carefully remove the cloth, put on a low heat – don’t let it bubble. Taste and then add a pinch of salt to enhance flavours and keep stirring while on heat until it’s all dissolved.Over the river on ‘the dark side’ you’ll find the Tappers distillery who are fully committed to reviving the art of gin. Their flavours are many and their bottles are stunning (the pink gin is a must have, even if it’s just to ogle the bottle) but their most famous offerings are their Darkside gin and their Wintergreen aromatic. Just try and keep us away from the Hydropathic Pudding Summer Fruits Cup as soon as the sun comes out though! Some say the taste is quite bitter (calm down, calm down, we love you blues!) but we love this traditional taste named in honour of a traditional club. Serve with citrus and tonic in a big balloon glass and shout at the telly to your hearts content. A classic, if a little “by the numbers” gin. Fans of classic gin staples will appreciate the simplicity. While well done, I think the important question is if it’s different enough to distinguish itself from its peers that are available at lower price points.
