About this deal

According to Farmer, the wedge set will become available online and within the top 50 US (golf) sales stores in the first week of October, with plans to expand into more stores moving forward. The wedges won’t have multiple bounce or grind options like wedges from entrenched golf brands, but when you consider the vast majority of golfers have little understanding of those specs anyway and are mostly concerned in making sure they have a gap, sand, and lob wedge, these play the part extraordinarily well. The designers even made sure the soles feature both the loft and club designation (G) 52 degrees, (S) 56 degrees, and (L) 60 degrees. I personally liked what it had to offer although the signature logo behind the putter wasn’t very classy, the putter looks and feels great. It closely resembles the Tiger Woods’ Scotty Cameron. Reviewers say the Kirkland Signature wedges look similar to the much pricier Vokey series of wedges from Titleist. They come in a chrome finish with the Kirkland Signature logo featured prominently.

The wedge shares a similar creative story to the putter in that Costco buyers approached a well-respected design firm, in this case, the Southern California Design company, to develop the wedges and work with a manufacturer for production. This isn’t SCD Co’s first time working in golf either—it had a hand in the (visual) creation of the Cobra AMP Cell irons, and another company Indi Golf and the StingRay wedges. The look is traditional and complete. Upon looking at it down behind the ball, it looks like any other blade-style putter offered by well-recognized brands of golf. They are also weighted nicely. Not all players will prefer the extra weight but it made the wedges easier to play on all kinds of turf. They performed consistently on long and short grass. Pros And Cons Of The Tour Grind Wedges The Southern California Design Company is the Kirkland golf club manufacturer. They’re based in Carlsbad, California. If you’re looking for value in your golf club sets, you may have come across Costco’s Kirkland Signature equipment. Maybe you’re a beginner and don’t want to break the bank on your first set. Are the Kirkland Signature Wedges right for you? Got a set of wedges over the weekend, took them to the course to practice. Initial impression is that these are awesome! Hit full shots on the range and played around on the chipping area (< 50 yards). I can do everything I want, hit a variety of shots - and they performed great! Incredible deal, do yourself a favor and grab a set. If you’re someone who wants to try out different wedge angles, you might have to round out your Kirkland set with some more expensive wedges. Kirkland also talks about the milled face, but I wouldn’t look for them add any extra spin or anything. If you’re already good at spinning the ball, you’ll spin them. If you’re not, then you won’t.

If you hit errant shots with your wedges or spin can be unpredictable, the Kirkland Signature may have some technology you need. Consistency is good as it helps players know what to expect. However, the issue is whether that consistent performance is the performance you need. To Paul Schofield: Not true! Costco DOES support golf by making it more affordable for the less fortunate and the uninitiated to enter the sport. You know what? The Kirkland wedges don’t feel that bad! Don’t get me wrong, again, you won’t confuse these for nicely forged Tour-grade wedges when it comes to precise and buttery feel. The feel is somewhat muted, however, so it shouldn’t be harsh on your hands. I can’t tell you I felt a ton of “face location” at impact.

Good review. Thank you. This will help get people in the game at an affordable price. Equipment without the excessive markup is great. You are entitled to your opinion, but your post reeks of effete snobbery. I highly doubt you would be critical in the same way if the brand were Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, etc. For all you know, one of those brands may be exactly what they are.
