About this deal

I believe it to be more than strong enough to hold the 4.5 kg 28x110s. It is an iOptron iEQ45/CEM60 2″ Tripod (8021ACC) and details can be found here: https://astronomyplus.com/product/ioptron-ieq45-cem60-2-tripod-8021acc/ I note the thread size is described as M12, which I believe is a 1/2" thread; I A increased magnification of 10x70 or 11x80 will add a little more detail to what you can see in a 7x50 and maintain the same image brightness as well. So as far as hand held binoculars go 10x70 or 11x80 represent the upper limit of what is practical for hand holding, but for extended use you may wish to use a tripod anyway. Fully multi-coated optics and high-quality BAK-4 prisms ensure sharp images and pleasing contrast, while internal baffling minimizes stray light for enhanced image quality.

The TrailSeeker 8x42’s minimalist design makes them a hugely more attractive option than large and heavy deep-sky astronomy-centric binoculars. Whether you're using them for terrestrial or astronomical viewing, these binoculars are sure to give you an incredible experience. Again, the Argus provided the sharpest and clearest image of the crescent which from my home currently looks like a U shaped bowl. CA, however, was more prominent than on the moon, but still not too bad; in addition, there was a bit of „glares“ and reflections surrounding the planet body. These binoculars are simply the best choice for skywatching, but they do come with a higher price tag. They boast outstanding optics and include optical stabilization technology similar to what you find in Canon's pricey camera lenses. This stabilization is incredibly handy when using them without a tripod, especially considering their powerful 10x magnification. It eliminates shakiness and makes it feel like you're using an invisible tripod. These are some of the finest handheld binoculars for stargazing and wildlife observation. The Extra-low dispersion (ED) objective lenses produce aberration-free sharp images.

Each eyepiece independently rotates through 450 degrees to provide critical sharp focus. They aren't really diopters, such as you find on lower-power binoculars. It's best to think of this whole rig as a pair of side-by-side 100 mm refractor telescopes, with image-erecting prisms built-in, and separate non-removable eyepieces The Nightstar produced a nice image too, not as sharp as the Argus, but not too far behind, however there were now several „layers“ of reflections around the crescent shape, and more color fringes than in the Argus as well surrounding the planet.

The barrels are cross-reinforced for maximum structural rigidity and unflinching optical alignment, while the 18mm eye relief provides an unobstructed field of view for eyeglass wearers. Instead, I have used my experience to form some basic and logical opinions based on research as well as the stated specifications and features supplied my the manufacturers.

Before buying big binoculars like these, think carefully about what kind of sky you have access to. Optical physics imposes a cruel reality on us: The higher the power, the dimmer the image. Large telescopes bring objects in "closer" but at a cost: An object's photon-per-time count may fall below the human-made light scattering the sky. The rods and cones of your eye may not get enough stimulation to tell your brain a good story. Light pollution is the bane of amateur astronomers. If you live near a bright city – and can’t over the hills and far away – you may be better off with lower-power, smaller, brighter binoculars. In our opinion, these binoculars are an excellent option for those on a budget and starting with stargazing or exploring. They are lightweight and ideal for trekking. However, we did notice a couple of downsides during our review. First, they require collimation, which means adjusting the alignment of the lenses. They are also prone to fogging in certain conditions.Celestron UpClose G2 10x50 Binocular: Best thought of as a great value pair of entry-level binoculars for all-round use and for occasional night sky views. They’re also really easy to set up, adjust and use. As such, there is a reasonably good choice for astronomy groups on a budget (though we do worry about their longevity). ★★★★½

Barrels are cross-reinforced for maximum structural rigidity and unflinching optical alignment. Long 18mm eye relief lets eyeglass wearers see an unrestricted field of view without removing their corrective lenses Unbeatable warranty and customer support: Buy with confidence from the telescope brand and a leading binocular manufacturer, based in California since 1960. You’ll also receive a Limited Lifetime warranty and unlimited access to technical support from our team of US-based experts. In the Omegon Nightstar, the four stars in the trapezium could just be split, while in the Celestron, you could guess the four stars more than really seeing them beyond any doubt, it was more like „three stars for sure and maybe four“. Otherwise, I would probably choose the Nightstar, despite its weight and shorter warranty than the Celestron; it is optically a bit ahead of the Skymaster and is quite a bit cheaper. However, people with an very narrow IPD (59mm and below) might possibly be better off with the Skymaster.

Atmospheric conditions were less than ideal under a relatively humid suburban sky, but still the three 25x100s showed nice views of the Orion nebula and surrounding structures, and using averted vision, quite a bit of the bright/dark structure of the nebula could be observed in all three binoculars. The Celestron Nature DX 12x56 binoculars are a great choice for outdoor enthusiasts who enjoy activities like wildlife observation, bird watching, and astronomy. They offer the performance of mid-range optics but come at a beginner-friendly price. They are highly affordable and work well for stargazing, thanks to their 12x magnification and wide 56mm objective lenses. Additionally, individuals who wear eyeglasses can benefit from the 16mm eye relief these binoculars provide.
