Szerintem a Star Realms alapjatek is sokkal jobb, tobb kombinacios lehetoseggel es letisztultabb frakciozassal rendelkezik, nem is beszelve a kiegeszitoirol. A permanensen jatekban marado lapok (bazisok) is sokkal kemenyebb fejtorest okoznak az ellenfelnek mint a bajnokok. A Hero Realms picit osszetettebb, de aki a fantasy mufajt jobban szereti annak azt ajanlom inkabb. It’s fair to say that the impact of the expansion’s cards is more strategic than mechanical. The actual flow of the game is more or less unaffected; even gaining the relics doesn’t require you to do anything substantially different; just hit 10 mastery and add them in. It’s easy to mix the cards in and get playing without needing to learn a load of new rules.

The thing that bugs me the most is that there are some extremely powerful cards in the game where, once they spin up to their potential, they’re nigh-impossible to stop. I already mentioned the Infinity Shard, but since everyone has that it’s actually not that much of an issue. There is no gameplay difference between the characters, making the immense size of the boards seem even more unnecessary. The cards, however, have excellent artwork. The rulebook is well written, and the game is very easy to learn with simple concepts and iconography. Fast-play any number of Mercenaries by paying their cost and putting them into the Play Zone, gaining their effect immediately.is not spent to gain card bonuses. When you gain mastery, it is gained permanently for the rest of the game. Mastery Threshold Bonus Secondly, I find the game most enjoyable with two players. It’s a free for all with more and very much leads to players ganging up on one another. That’s not an inherently bad thing, but there’s very little you can do about it in Shards of Infinity.

Cards with are not discarded when used to prevent damage during an opponent's turn, but remain in your hand and can thus be used as a in a future turn and/or played as normal during your turn. A shield may NOT be used to prevent damage to your Champions. If a card allows you to banish a card from your hand, you may not banish a card that you've already played that turn, as that card is no longer in your hand. Banishing your weaker cards, especially some of your starting cards, allows you to draw powerful cards more often. All these reagents fabricate a game that far outclasses Star Realms. While this sounds like praise, it isn’t. In truth, I am puzzled by the popularity of Star Realms. I have played both the physical version as well as the app. I even tried to give Hero Realms a shot and every single time I gave these games a chance, I was met with further disappointment. I wished Shards of Infinity pushed away from the Star Realms model instead of embracing it. You can recruit Allies when they are in the center row by paying their cost and putting them into your discard pile.Example: if you have 9 mastery and play Fungal Hermit, you would gain 1 master, making your total 10 mastery. This would make it so you get the Mastery Threshold Bonus from Fungal Hermit, and you would gain 5 . The cards have more interactions and interesting effects. The mastery system pitches it forward, and the mercenary system grand slams it into a sweet spot that I think is pretty rare. A game that works with both, the more casual crowd, and more hardcore folks like myself. Champions are recruited just like Allies and go to your discard pile once recruited. Unlike Allies, once a Champion has been played it stays in your Play Zone from turn to turn. Champions go to the discard pile only when they've been dealt damage equal to their or destroyed by a card's effect.
