The 53rd SOPS provides mission assurance and continuous operational support through real-time correlated monitoring, control, and management of MILSATCOM through its five geographically separated WSOCs. WSOCs are the first line of defense for assigned satellites, terminals, and users, providing assured access to Department of Defense-owned wideband satellite communications.

An Intercessor, who can be part of a battleline Intercessor Squad, is the standard, multirole heavy infantry unit of the Primaris Space Marines. Intercessors are similar in combat function to a Tactical Squad of Firstborn Astartes or a Legion Tactical Squad of the ancient Space Marine Legionaries. Aggressors are tasked with close-range fire support and have been outfitted with modified suits of Mark X Gravis Power Armour refitted to carry a shoulder-mounted Fragstorm Grenade Launcher. Space Marines in general now being pushed enough on price point means there’s pretty likely to be some strong Ultramarines lists out there, and vehicle gunlines with Guilliman handing out re-roll 1s is a pretty decent niche for them. They don’t, however, end up with access to builds quite as incredible as Dark Angels, Deathwatch or Space Wolves, and Iron Hands might muscle in on the vehicle re-roll niche. White Scars

They do the same things they did in 9th, those things are still super valuable, so just leave them in your case and assume they’re still in your list. You might also consider Incursors, who aren’t as good at screening things out but do bring the highly useful ability to put a +1 to hit buff on a key target – which helps all your shooting, but in particular can help your indirect fire out by mitigating the penalty (at least for those non-Desolation Squad units that care about it in the first place). Rounding out the Stealthy Guy units, Scout Snipers have had a revival recently, with the combination of the ability to Infiltrate and their pseudo-Lone Operative rule making them surprisingly hard to dig out, and in particular making them essentially immune to a lot of indirect fire which might otherwise expect to trivially sweep them. If you don’t already own these, however, now is not the time to invest; the models have gone Last Chance to Buy ahead of the codex release. It is fun to play with size because this wargame is recommended to be played on a table of 1.2 meters (4 feet) wide. You can construct your custom field to fit all your 3D printed miniatures, figurines and vehicles. If you love video games more than a tabletop game, you can still 3D print great characters and vehicles to display in your collection.

Each member of an Intercessor Squad carries some variant of a Bolt Rifle, the standard Mark II Cawl Pattern version of which has a longer range and greater armour penetration than the older pattern bolter. Additionally, each Intercessor also bears a Bolt Pistol and Frag and Krak Grenades. Space marines need a leader, and their spiritual leader is Chaplain. This character always supports his brothers-warriors. So, the model will look impressive on your shelf alongside other 3D printed models. With a 3D printer at home, it is possible to create just anything, including your own Primaris Aggressor Squad. Much of the above has focused on Devastator Doctrine, but the other two Doctrines have linked Stratagems too – Honour the Chapter gives a unit LANCE and also extra AP if they’re in the Assault Doctrine, while Squad Tactics allows an infantry unit to move d6” if an enemy comes within 9” of it, but defaults to a full 6” while you’re in Tactical. Squad Tactics is a super-powerful ability when used correctly, letting you reduce angles and protect units after the opponent has had to commit to a move, and thinking ahead to when you might want to use it and whether your army can be in Tactical Doctrine to reduce your risk can be key.

The September 2023 dataslate didn’t make too many direct changes to Space Marines – the main general change that applied to them was the “Modifying a Stratagem’s CP Cost” bit, because Captains have this rule and what it can affect is now more limited. There was one significant rules change, however; Desolation Squads became a fixed 5-model unit rather than 5-10. This has a big impact on their effectiveness; lots of the commentary on this article before September was about them, but being capped at 5 models means they’re nowhere near as good as they were.
