Provide enough materials and arrange spaces so that children can collaborate and learn alongside peers. Give children enough time and space to engage in large-scale projects that may continue over several days.Each child’s level of development is assessed using teacher judgment and their knowledge of that individual child against the early learning goals. Teachers are responsible for deciding whether the child is meeting expected levels of development, or if a child is not yet reaching expected levels (known as ‘emerging’).
