About this deal

Once I’d removed the Nautilus Prime X from the box, I was surprised by just how small and light it is. It's almost exactly the same size as my DotAIO which is no mean feat in itself, and it even manages to incorporate a colour screen into the mix which is doubly impressive given its diminutive size. On its right side, there’s the fire button at the top and two control buttons at the bottom. Everything is tightly put together and the buttons fit snugly in their housings. The overall design and build quality is fantastic. On the left side there’s a USB-C port for charging the battery.

The Prime X houses a single 18650 battery (Not Included), which is charged through the USB-C port on the side of the device (we always recommend charging external batteries on a separate external battery charger to ensure maximum battery longevity). The Prime X has a maximum wattage output of 60W, perfect for both the BP coils or the classic Nautilus coils. The Prime X features three buttons on the side of the device, one fire button which also turns the device on and off, and two +/- buttons to adjust the wattage of the device. The Prime X has a completely adjustable airflow system, so you can customise the tightness to your preference. First of all, the Nautilus Prime X comes with a sort of box that uses an 18650 battery. The air intake and a slider to adjust it are on the front. A colour display just beneath that harmoniously completes the layout of the front. The Nautilus X pods are easy to refill and each comes with a compatible coil to get you started. The 0.7 Ohm Nautilus coil produces a smaller amount of vapour for MTL or Restricted DTL vaping. The Aspire BP 0.3 Ohm coil supports higher wattages for DTL vaping. There are different variations of each coil available separately and depending on which coil you’ve chosen; you’ll be able to use these pods with either a high VG or high PG coil. This gives you more options to experiment with to find out what’s best for you. The pods are different in that one is designed for the BP coils and the other for the Nautilus series of coils.

Customer Reviews

The Aspire Nautilus Prime pod sits within the body to create a more compact appearance, and is compatible with all Nautilus BVC coils If the makers of Marlboro could see the threat, then it might just be worth a look (I have one good friend in Dubai who is a convert and earlier this year over beers he enthused about it - but I ignored him, I liked cigs, and they’re really cheap in Dubai). No one can say I wasn't prepared to use the Aspire Nautilus Prime X for a few months. Fortunately the BP coils fit my BP80 and Onixx tank and the Nautilus coils fit the 3 tank (I think)

OK, this new version also features a slider air control and a crystal clear colour screen with plenty of options. As I mentioned earlier, after a couple of days I did buy more coils, and NOT because I was unhappy with those included either. However, thanks to the airflow control, you can shut it right down and get a more than respectable tight MTL vape – does feel a tad warm to me though. Overall and from a design perspective, I am extremely impressed and have to say it adds a touch of class to vaping…as in, I feel I should be wearing a dinner suit whilst vaping this one, rather than PJs lol.

Cons – Purely Subjective!

I bought the 510 adapter for the Prime X, I bought the RBA kits in both Nautilus and BP styles - both good the Nautilus is bigger and easier to build (but it ONLY fits Prime and Prime x pods), the BP version more fiddly but has far wider usage. The above MTL coils are best for smokers wanting to switch to vaping due to the ability to vape higher nicotine strengths. If you are a low volume smoker, or have quit smoking, then a restricted direct to lung (RDL) coil is an alternative option. There are two main types of RDL Aspire coils compatible with these kits: Nautilus 2S 0.7ohm Mesh, or the Aspire BP 0.6ohm coils. Both of these coils are still ideal for lower VG e liquids including the Vapour Days UK 10ml bottles or the Cherub brands of flavours. RDL coils produce more clouds and therefore are recommended for use with lower nicotine strengths. You can also use some higher VG e liquids, up to 70% VG, which opens you up to using the majority of the bigger short fills available at Vapour Days UK too. These have no nicotine although there is the option to add a nicotine shot to create a low 3mg bottle of juice. Seriously now, let’s hope the new UK vape regulations will scrap the silly 2ml rule – have your say on that HERE– it will take a moment and is VERY important. Find the best prices, submitted by vendors themselves for all of these categories and more such as RDA / RDTA’s, 18650 and 20700 batteries, Coils / Atomizers& more.

This device is equipped with 2 pods, the N-pod which is compatible with Aspire Nautilus coils and the B-pod which is compatible with Aspire BP coils. The flexibility of these pods allows for greater versatility, meaning you have a greater selection of coils and experiences to choose from. Each pod has a 2ml capacity and an adjustable airflow ring. The adjustable airflow adds another layer of customisation to your vape, allowing you to choose between a more restricted or airy vape. One thing. If you buy the 4.0ml or 4.5ml pods elsewhere make sure you pair with the correct Coils. The 4.5 go with the Nautilus range & the BP I think it's called goes with the 4.0ml coil. The design of the new version is where things have taken a major change for the better – and we’ll look at that in a moment. This coil is preinstalled inside the BP pod and is predominantly designed for lower wattage sub ohm vaping. The Aspire Nautilus Prime X is the next generation of Aio devices. Bringing a multitude of improvements while staying true to the original. Offering a wonderful new design aesthetic that distinguishes itself from the original Prime. Now powered by a single 18650 battery (not included) and a beautiful 0.96” TFT color display screen. The two adjustment buttons have been moved for an improved user experience. The Nautilus Prime X comes with two pods included: a BP pod and a Nautilus Pod. Compatible with their corresponding coil lines, the BP pod holds up to 4mL and the Nautilus pod holds 4.5mL. RBA accessories are available for both, but not included. 4 Power Modes are present: Auto, Wattage, Voltage, and Bypass. The Chipset and Interface are similar to the Aspire BP devices and display all important information along with a Puff Counter. The Aspire Nautilus Prime X truly delivers more customization and compatibility for users. Overall, the Nautilus Prime X pod kit offers a level of customisation rarely seen outside of classic sub ohm vape kits, while remaining a simple kit option for everyday use.
