About this deal

Love this little teapot!" says one customer who appreciated the TopTier Japanese Cast Iron Kettle’s high quality and long hours of keeping the tea hot. Another buyer said it was "So perfect!" for their tea addiction since the stovetop tea kettle can steep and heat the water simultaneously. This sturdy stainless steel and plastic cordless jug sits on a square base unit and offers four different temperature settings (100, 90, 80 and 70 degrees) and there’s a keep-warm function so you don’t have to reboil water. The kettle beeps when you turn it on and to let you know when it’s boiled too, just in case you forget. Many shoppers enjoyed the Haus Roland Stovetop Tea Kettle’s quirky aesthetic and easy maintenance. However, other buyers pointed out how the kettle could be impractical due to its small size. Why We Think Its Great

Its capacity is 2 litres, which should be plenty for everyday use, and it can again be used with all kinds of heat sources, AGAs, induction hobs, and the like. It does also whistle as well. You will need to wash this one by hand as well. As I’ve said, it’s more about the design and the shape than the functionality – of course it works well, it’s a kettle not a dishwasher. Another great add-on in a stovetop tea kettle is the mesh filter. While others are detachable, there are some models made with built-in mesh filters. These are great for those who use stovetop tea kettles specifically for tea. If you have a limitless collection of tea bags, then this is a great feature to make use of. There’s a kettle for every kitchen style and budget, from traditional stove-top pots that whistle pleasingly when it’s time for tea, to smart kettles that switch themselves on before you’ve even decided you want a brew. The limescale filter is top-quality so it’s a good choice if you live in a hard water area, and it’s capable of boiling one cup to 1.5 litres of water. It comes with an infuser, so you can also use it as a teapot. If you are a fan of Asian-style tea drinking traditions, this is certainly an incredible choice.

Leave it to boil for 30 minutes and ensure that the kettle hasn't dried up the liquid inside. Remove from heat, leave to cool, and rinse thoroughly before drying with a soft towel. We found that the removable limescale filter in the KitchenAid Variable Temperature Kettle 1.5l wasn’t as easy to remove and refit as some others. This was mainly due to the lid getting in the way, as mentioned earlier, though this is a small problem. The lid release button is easy to access on the top of the handle and it’s very responsive. It’s easy and safe to close the lid too, thanks to the small rubber pad on top. We also like the Kenwood Mesmerine Jug Kettle which, although pricey, will deliver a cup of tea or coffee in under a minute. Music to our ears. Best kettle: which brand is best? Stainless steel finish, heat-proof handle, 3.0L capacity, weighs just 1.33kg, whistles when water boils.

Smart features: The fanciest of kettles now have smart features, meaning you can switch on your kettle from your app or keep it warm so your cup of tea is only seconds away when you walk in the door. How much should I spend on the best kettle? iCool Handle Whistling Tea Kettles: Featuring the latest Thermal Protection technology, our handle will cool down in a few seconds after turning the kettle stovetop off. Avoid touching any hot metal parts thanks to the push-button feature

Whenever I come across Oxo, I always think of that Cake Boss spin-off where pairs of family bakes face off making a themed cake for Buddy and his fellow judges. I’d never heard of the brand before, but since then, cannoli and tiramisu pop into my mind whenever it is mentioned. Copper stove top kettles – copper kettles are incredibly stylish in my opinion, but they are prone to dents, and they do also tarnish more easily, so you will need to give them a good polish. Although, they are just so incredibly Downton Abbey that they might just be worth the effort.

This 1.9L stove top kettle from KitchenAid works on all hobs including induction ones. Overall the build quality is everything you’d expect from KitchenAid, but it does have one quirk we find rather annoying, which is that the heatproofing on the handle is only applied at the top and bottom, not at the sides. We assume this is for aesthetic reasons but we’d rather have had it fully insulated. On the other hand, to be fair, it does appear to stay cool even when boiling, so perhaps we’re being a bit over cautious and the spout-opening mechanism is excellent. It would go particularly well in a modern kitchen with its blue light-up feature when in boiling mode, and a permanent limescale filter means it’s suitable for hard-water areas.
