The malt quality comes through right away, as with many pilsner-type lagers, and it is combined with a little bitterness from the whole cone Saaz hops. Budweiser is a medium-bodied, flavorful, crisp American-style lager. S- Smells somewhat like a proper Pilsner, with subdued bittering hop profile, soapy tang, some citrus, and piney aromas. What is nice about this one is the noted increase in malt sweetness, showcasing some mild toffee/caramel/molasses notes, perhaps some dark chocolate, and a dry grainy breadiness. The increased richness over the standard Czechvar in the nasal cavity is quite nice! Vienna Lager: Also known as amber or Oktoberfest lagers, this style of beer originated in Austria, and is defined by its clear, reddish-brown appearance; mild hop profile and low bitterness; and malt-forward flavour.
