Comfortable travel in the children's bike trailer If the product is reconfigured into the three-wheel jogger, the coupling is removed and a small front wheel attached. The pushing aid can be kept on the rear at all times. On it there is a convenient handbrake which allows the parents pushing the trailer to stay relaxed even on slopes.When testing the trailer I accidentally zipped too far up and the zipper head slid right off the zipper. While I was able to get the zipper head rethreaded and working again without much hassle, it was unnerving and frustrating.
The mesh front door and the rain cover secure tightly in place at the bottom of the trailer with a hook and loop closure. This system is extremely easy to use and easily one of our favorites. By the rotating safety clutch and rollbar your children are perfectly safe from falls or rollovers during an emergency. Smooth ride - Balance is sometimes an issue for riders using child bike seats, particularly rear-mounted ones. Thanks to the articulated arm, those who use trailers find that it feels like a completely normal ride (other than the extra weight!). The passengers are well protected by belts, a sturdy steel frame, and a roll bar. The high-quality suspension which flexibly compensates for unevenness on the road is a further advantage. The cover is made from two layers. One layer provides space for plentiful air exchange with its integrated fly screen which also keeps insects and small stones away, while the other consists of a transparent, but sturdy film. Sitting under this ensures that the children travelling with you don’t get wet when it rains. Keep in mind that the Hamax is the most affordable of the three brands’ mid-range trailers, so it should be expected that you get less because you’re paying less. Many families will never truly need suspension. Even more families probably won’t ever need a jogging wheel or ski kit.
Shipping costs abroad
Both the Burley Encore X and Qeridoo Sportrex mid-range trailers have suspension. The Hamax Traveller does not. But do you really need suspension? The only negative of having a trailer with suspension is that it adds a little weight to your set up. That said, the Burley Encore X has suspension and still weighs less than the Traveller. Inside the trailer, our 5-year-old and 3-year-old testers had about the same amount of space side to side as another popular trailer on the market – the Burley D’Lite X. The Burley has a bit more headroom and legroom, but this will really only come into play as kids get much older.
The bicycle trailer can also be taken apart to save space. It then becomes small enough to fit either on a shelf in the garage or in the boot. If desired, the trailer can be taken on holiday or to your favourite jogging or walking spot further afield. For additional context, our 2-year-old, 38.5″ tall rider (seen below) has the shoulder straps set to their lowest point and its a pretty perfect fit. The SAMAX bike trailer is a “2in1 Jogger”. While it can be pulled by a bike, it can also be used by joggers who want to take their children out on runs with them. This model can be reconfigured in just a few steps. It can be reconfigured without the use of tools. The brake cables for the jogger wheel simply attach to the trailer chassis via velcro straps. In use, the jogger performed smoothly without complaint. While useful and appreciated, the jogging brake wasn’t as effective as we would have liked. If you will only ever be riding on smooth sidewalks and paved paths, you will do perfectly fine without suspension (if your trailer has 20″ air tires like the Traveller). But if you think you may be adventuring off the beaten path pretty regularly, your child will thank you for the added cushioning suspension will provide.

The Traveller is not a true multi-sport trailer. While it comes with an excellent stroller wheel that can be used for light jogging, it is not compatible with Hamax’s larger jogger wheel and ski conversion kits.
