For more specs of the RLC-810A camera, please refer to Specifications Installation of RLC-810A Connection Diagram With more complex instructions, the CPU allows for less complex and shorter code, because the device abstracts some concepts and makes a less complex interface available. On the other hand, however, to increase the time needed to complete an instruction, one would decrease the speed. Another choice could be less complex instructions ― a code of greater length, less complexity, but increased speed. So far I feel like the RLC-810A does a better job with motion detection. Although it does say "Person alert" when my dog is in frame, but I treat my dog like a kid, so maybe the camera is onto something. The object detection works well, I would say it is maybe not quite as accurate as Eufy or Sentry AI (with Blue Iris), but it is close.

You can configure both camera models to sound their alarm when motion is detected. But on the Reolink RLC-811A, you have the added advantage of the spotlights. These come ON automatically at night and can be used to scare away potential intruders before they make moves to break in. Picture: Clear picture, the 4k can read the lettering on my "Weber" grill cover pretty easily. I won't say it's a huge improvement over my 5mp RLC-510, but it's better.

Useful but Controversial:

I have been finding exactly the same. I'm a new BI user have bought a few reolink cams that all work OK apart from the 810a with the dodgy frame rate when using a sub. I don’t want to get too much into the recording aspect or stream quality settings as I will cover those in a future post. I will be looking to manage these under some other software, but I did want to get these into Home-Assistant. There are several ways of doing this, with snippets of code and integrations. some are more difficult than others. Fortunately for us, someone has already written a very nice integration for us which takes away all the pain!

The camera may work in extremely cold conditions as low as -25°C as it will produce heat when powered on. You may power on the camera indoors for a few minutes before installing it outdoors. First Impressions:

The siren and spotlights both complement each other, but you can tweak their settings depending on where you live, so as not to make your neighbors uncomfortable. The only reason why you would consider the Reolink RLC-810A over the Reolink RLC-811A is that it is more affordable. Why should you not consider the Reolink RLC-810A? NAND ― flash memory inside the board, usually where the operating system is installed; interestingly, within the flattened device tree, all the partitions of our system are also specified. It is therefore possible to specifically try to find out how the image is composed when the operating system boots.

Similar to the RLC-510, this allows you to schedule the motion detection sensitivity throughout the day with up to 5 different time periods. Ideally, I would like to be able to set the sensitivity once and have it set that way all day, we'll see how that goes. Well, I would say that this camera is a little bit smarter. It has something called Person and Vehicle detection, which means the camera can tell the difference between a human and a vehicle by their shapes. Encoder JPEG ― component that natively encodes data streams from the optical sensor into JPEG frames to construct an image stream.
