About this deal

Fill each case with 2 teaspoons of mincemeat, lightly moisten undersides of pastry lids with water and use to top tarts, pressing gently at edges to seal.

Roll out just over half the pastry and use to line a pie dish allowing any excess to hang over edges. Place the cooled meat mixture in the dish and spread evenly over the pastry. Remember…. jam is really hot when straight from the oven so make sure they cool properly before the kids eat them – you really don’t want them to burn their mouth. Make The Jam Tarts Your Way Put prepared vegetables (except cherry tomatoes and spinach) in a large bowl, add the balsamic vinegar and olive oil and mix well to coat. Spread out vegetables on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 12-15 minutes. When lining the tin with the pastry, take care not to stretch it or it will shrink around the edges when baked.

Mini Oreo Cheesecakes– get busy in the kitchen with the kids and whip up totally delicious Oreo cheesecake, chocolatey Oreo biscuit base and creamy cheesecake topping – a total dream! Spread the bacon pieces evenly in the pastry case. Gently pour over the egg mixture. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the filling is just set and golden. Serve warm or cold. mixed vegetables cut into even sized pieces about 2.5cm (we used red pepper, red onion, courgette, button mushrooms and broccoli). Great with a mini tea-party, alongside a selection of sandwiches, scones or other cakes. And of course a pot of tea.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan oven) Gas Mark 6. Place a baking sheet in the oven to heat up. Arrange the roasted vegetables, cherry tomatoes, spinach and prepared cheese evenly over the flan base. Once all twelve have been cut and pressed into the tart tray add a tsp of jam to each tart case. Don’t overfill the tarts or they’ll just bubble over the edges, you only need a little bit of jam in each.Line the pastry case with a sheet of crumpled baking paper and fill with ceramic baking beans. Place on the hot baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the lining paper and beans and bake for a further 5-10 minutes until the pastry is pale golden. Reduce the oven temperature to 190°C (170°C fan oven) Gas Mark 5.

Chocolate Dipped Strawberries– kids love making chocolate dipped fruit – it’s easy and totally delicious to eat – plus it counts towards their five a day! You could also drizzle the strawberries with white chocolate or add edible glitter just to make them more gorgeous! Unroll the pastry and using a 7.5cm/3″ cutter cut out 12 discs and line the base of the tin. Cut out 12 smaller discs with a fluted cutter for the lids and set aside. (You may find that you are able to cut 10 discs out of the 1st sheet, simply re-roll the off cuts to make 12). Once the dish has cooled completely, transfer it to an airtight, freezer-safe container, seal and freeze for up to 1-3 months. To serve, defrost thoroughly in the fridge overnight. Loosely cover with foil and bake until dish is thoroughly heated through if wanting to serve warm.
