About this deal

The Caliburn G, which is made specifically to be used with the Uwell Caliburn G Kit, is made of either a 0.8-ohm Mesh Coil or a 1.0-ohm standard Coil, depending on which one you’d like. This is because the two coils are differently suited for both mouth-to-lung (MTL) and direct-to-lung (DTL, also known as sub-ohm) vaping modes. How Long Does A Caliburn Coil Last? Depending on use, Caliburn coils may last anywhere from one week to two weeks, depending on usage and the e-liquid you use. Yeah you could say it looks a little functional I suppose – but as pod kits go it’s definitely one of the better ‘lookers’. First, grab a coil. Both of the coils that come in the box are the same so it doesn’t matter which one you choose. Take your ejuice of choice and drop a few drops of eliquid onto the cotton on the sides of the coil. After you’re done this, take the coil and insert it into the pod by lining up the flat edge with the flat edge on the bottom of the pod. The coil simply pushes into the bottom of the pod.

This is a worthy addition to the Caliburn G range, mainly due to the increase in battery size. That has always been my disappointment with all of the Caliburn devices, that I wished the battery was bigger! The ridges not only add a nice design feature, but also give the device a good grip – this one won’t be slipping out of your hand. There is a lovely flavour which is very smooth with standard e-liquid, but there is an absence of a meaningful throat hit. Caliburn G 1.2ohm Coils are a mouth-to-lung option providing a more conservative cloud but maximised throat hit. These coils perform best with 50VG/50PG e-liquids, or those with a higher PG ratio. Pair with a high-strength nic salt blend for a rich and satisfying draw. The chunky “Zega” shape is a new addition to the Caliburn Bar and Square (KoKo) bodied devices but it does mean the battery capacity is increased to 850mAh. What do you think of the Caliburn G? Have you tried it? Leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts! I’m also very pleased to report that the flavour in the Caliburn X stayed consistent even when the battery was low. Some users have reported their Caliburn G2 device vibrating unexpectedly when using non-standard chargers. To avoid this possibility and prevent potential battery damage, always use the charger supplied along with your Caliburn G2. How long will the coils in my Caliburn G2 last?

The LED light show only displays the battery charge colour for about 1 second and then cycles through the pretty colours – it is easy to miss. Plus the e-liquid viewing window is a bit too dark and the lanyard hook spoils the sleek appearance. But use some higher strength nic salts (>10mg) especially those that replicate the flavour of disposable vapes – and this will come alive. The initial charge lasted me 11 hours of frequent ( read: constant ) use. This is pretty great for an 850mAh battery. My everyday vape (the Aspire Riil X) has a 700mAh battery and only lasts me a few hours before it needs a recharge, and I end up charging it around 3 times a day. If your chain vaping habit has to do with the fact that you are addicted to the hand-to-mouth habit of smoking/vaping, then this will be a tough habit to reduce (but you can do it).Caliburn G 0.8ohm Coils utilise a mesh coil design for a larger surface area; this increases the flavour and volume of vapour produced with every draw. The 0.8ohm coils work well with most e-liquid types and are also compatible with higher VG options. These coils offer a restricted direct-to-lung or cloudy mouth-to-lung vape. Battery indicator = When vaping, the first colour you see of the LED (for about 1 second), displays the remaining battery charge, after this it goes into a multi-colour light pattern. Green = over 60%, Blue = 30-60% and Red = less than 30%. The Red LED will flash 10 times when the device needs charging.

The Caliburn G has a higher max. wattage output than the original (15W vs 11W) so it uses slightly more power, however this is offset by the increased battery capacity (690mAh vs 520mAh). You can expect to vape a pod and a half to 2 full pods of ejuice before having to recharge.

On either side of the device is the LED indicator, this is animated and will pulse and display different colours depending on the device status. I mix my own e-liquid using the IVG Bubblegum Concentrate to 20%. I add this to 50% VG and 50% PG base liquid. This is the ideal ratio of VG/PG for a low powered pod kit. Along with the new LED, Uwell have done well to increase safety precautions; and we’re all about a safe vape, so big up to the team at Uwell! The coils for the Caliburn G2 should last through 20-25 mL of e-liquid (a little less if you use particularly sweet liquid in your pods). The 0.8Ω coil supplied with the device typically lasts a bit longer than its 1.2Ω counterpart. What colours does the Caliburn G2 come in? The mouthpiece also serves as the fill cap for the pod. It’s much more rounded than the mouthpiece on the original and while I think the original was comfortable to use, I like this mouthpiece even more. It follows the curves of my lips even better and just generally feels nicer.
