About this deal

One of the greatest strengths of AUTOCOURSE through the years has been its superb photographic coverage. Many of the world’s leading motor sport photographers have been regular contributors, their images providing the ultimate pictorial record of each racing season. Ferrari' found themselves uncompetitive and Charles Leclerc, and Sebastian Vettel struggled to find the speed that made them winners in 2019, and it was left to the ever-resourceful Red Bull Racing, with the exciting talent of Max Verstappen, to rise to the challenge and further justify their decision to switch to Honda power. I actually enjoyed the level of detail in the Official Bernie Formula One Annuals of 2001 and 2002 - there was a huge amount of coverage of qualifying and race reports team by team. Now, I've scored the drivers 15-12-10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for their placings, and compiled an overall list from 1966-present, with number of placings in the top 5: The core titles are Autocourse, Motocourse, Rallycourse, Champ Car Yearbook and Indy 500 IRL Yearbook. In almost all cases, the Editors will remain the same; Alan Henry on Autocourse, Michael Scott on Motocourse, Jeremy Shaw on Champ Car Yearbook and so on.

Well, that may account for part of it, Don, but the worst damage was done by the most recent caretakers themselves... Mark alluded to the fact that we're a group of real enthusiasts at Crash - Bryn and I both have around 30 editions of Autocourses each already - and we're really buzzing at the prospect of now being publishers of some truly iconic offline titles. Bryn and I began our collections by being given Autocourse as Christmas gifts by our parents, so it's not hard to appreciate why Bryn described the acquisition as "the proudest day of my [professional] life" in the press release...This consists of the full results table for the season, featuring each driver and accompanied since 1996 by a group photo of all the drivers in one of the Grands Prix. Other statistics are also given, such as overall career details for each driver and their average qualifying position over the season.

Wit respect to Senna but I guess that the influence within the '94 season within the races he did participate was too small to even consider the #1 spot open in '94. This is the longest section of the annual, and contains a report on each Grand Prix in the Formula One season, including qualifying, photos, comprehensive results and sidebars for more in-depth news stories. Annuals of motor racing The 50th anniversary edition of Autocourse, covering the 2000 season. Pictured on the cover is Michael Schumacher, the World Drivers' Champion that year. The problem of course is that I have no idea of the top tens pre-1990. So I can work out the current crop of drivers points - MS, MH, DC, RB etc, but not the likes of Senna, Lauda etc.
