When my camera is in the bag, it never gets used. I prefer to leave it out with the lens cap off and the power button left on so that I’m ready to make a photograph at a moment’s notice. The TG-6 is no replacement for a GoPro, but it captures 4K video that looks good, though it does lose some wide-angle coverage due to a crop. It tops out at 30fps, but you can switch to 1080p and record at 60fps or 30fps, and 720p at 30fps is also an option. All of these settings are cropped, and the camera omits a 24fps recording option. If you want to get closer to the look of cinema films, you can switch to the 25fps capture rate used by PAL systems.
