Up close it smells a lot richer, still soft..but richer. U[p close is the only time I can really tell there's something deeper in here, but in the air? Powder bomb.

Warnings

A little goes a long way (at least, on me). The powder aspect is extremely strong, but has an undercurrent of bruised petals (not Johnson & Johnson). Thing is - you need to sniff the skin (at least on me) to get that wonderful trail of bruised petals - in the air, it's more like a powderbomb - and sweet. Still quite agreeable to me. I also noted an evanescent

Overall, it's a classic floral/powdery with a bit of sweetness scent, ideal for all year round especially spring with very good performance. Spray with moderation in summer as it could be overwhelming, strong and potent. I adore wearing this in warmer months, but it is really unique and crisp in colder months too. Clean jasmine rounds out this scent as it develops, sweetened by the vanilla in the base and joined by powdery rose and iris. The violet remains prominent. There is a smokiness to the drydown, thanks to the incense, which complements the vanilla to perfection. It becomes musky as it dries down, remaining powdery and floral until final fade. Sillage is moderate and longevity is long-lasting. It took everything in me not to blind buy Flower for the bottle alone, which is adorable and reminiscent of growing up in the early aughts, so I mustered up some self control and got a sample instead. While I don’t think this would be a safe blind buy for everyone, it definitely would have been for me as someone who appreciates powdery florals and musks.I appreciate the youthfulness that this scent embodies. Many reviewers have said it’s mature but i disagree. I like the way that the notes surrounding such a prominent violet give way to a very delicate, airy and fresh powder rather than a dank soapy aldehydic powder associated with a more mature scent profile. Kenzo's perfumes tend to be a cut above other offerings from designer houses. From Ça Sent Beau to Jungle, I have been impressed with the creativity of this house. Flower is no different. Its distinctive bottle - tall, thin, slightly tilted in the manner of a flower leaning against a vase - is both pretty and original, suiting the name and concept of this perfume beautifully. The perfume itself is quite lovely - floral, obviously, but with fruity and woody nuances that serve to enhance the florals. Deceptively light, the drydown is powdery and the performance better than average. It is very feminine, given its floral sweetness, but is well-blended and quite unusual. The other one Cyclosal is used a lot when working with Iris so..I'm wondering if that's adding to the powder here? The first spray is really strong and has clear rose and violet notes, and a strong baby powder accord. I only noticed a trace of mandarin after seeing it listed in the notes. There are moments when I listen to my breath. I do it in silence, almost always without incense. If a perfume reaches me it’s usually mild.
