Praise for The Dinner Lady Detectives'This cosy crime novel has some hilarious moments and is perfect to curl up with.

They didn't even seem that compatible as Clementine never seemed to listen to Margery and dragged her unwillingly into all sorts of things. It was really refreshing to read about these two characters, solving the death of their friend but not everything goes to plan, it was hilarious to read the blunders they made in their sleuthing. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. A charming and very English murder mystery, which will appeal to everyone embracing the resurgence of cosy crime novels. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter.

The storyline about this detective thing did not really give me a thrill for the crime and to an extent, I was amazed by it. The pair are determined to stay out of the way of the Christmas concert planning that has gripped the rest of the staff. The kitchen manager was talked about as if she was a really fun person who liked to play funny pranks on people but most of the 'pranks' were mean and horrible and not at all funny. The book is also unmistakably British, with copious references to school dinners, Quality Street, supermarket chains, and small towns where everyone knows each other’s business. In this five-part series, US happiness expert and positive psychologist Michelle Gielan and British journalist and author Oliver Burkeman explore ways to become truly happier, backed up by scientific evidence. However, the police seem to think that there is no crime to investigate, so it is up to the women to discover who was responsible. Sir Michael Caine knows a thing or two about gangs: whether that’s joining one as a kid, or playing them in movies for over 50 years. Those looking for a light, corny mystery featuring a cranky couple who don't seem capable of solving a crime may enjoy following them along in their escapades. The town’s peace is shaken however after their kitchen manager is found dead in the walk-in freezer.

Soon it becomes clear that they’re right, and as they get closer to the truth, they find that their own lives might be at stake too. Waking up 117 years later, Bob discovers his mind has been uploaded into a sentient space probe with the ability to replicate itself. They live in a small village in the English countryside and are Educational Centre Nourishment Consultants (aka Lunch Ladies) at the local school. This is, in my humble opinion, a very successful debut and definitely a series that I am looking forward to keeping up with. And according to the residents of the Japanese island of Okinawa - the world's longest-living people - finding it is the key to a longer and more fulfilled life.

However, they are caught in the crossfire when the stage lights collapse at the first practice, killing Mrs Large, the music teacher. I think the main problem is that some of the things that were intended to be funny I didn't find amusing. Along the way, they’ll unlock wisdom for those of us navigating our own coupledoms, and for those still seeking their perfect match. Margery and Clementine smell a rat when one of their colleagues is found dead in the walk-in freezer of the school kitchen and so begins their unorthodox investigation into her death which results in all manner of escapades. At Books2Door, we believe that reading is a fundamental skill that every child should have to help improve their vocabulary, grammar, and critical thinking skills.
