About this deal

How much he wants to help her right from the beginning, how he is constantly trying to do the right thing by her, even when he gets it wrong. When Libby discovers her sister has been swept up in her father’s sex trafficking ring, she’ll do everything in her power to set her sister free. When a man walks through my open patio door, stepping boldly into my home and my life, I should be scared, frightened, terrified. Is it how he has to lift my chin with his fingers to keep my eyes level with his when he scolds me and how I cover my bottom instinctively when he tells me that I've earned a spanking? I came across a teaser for this book on the author’s TikTok and immediately grabbed a copy and I’m so happy I did.

She may be slightly naïve because of her sheltered upbringing and lacked a bit of self-confidence, but that didn’t stop her from being brave and growing throughout the book.I’m sure if I hadn’t spilled beer all over him and gave a subtle suggestion of where he could shove his best friend’s dick, perhaps we would have started out on a better note. That and the fact that the whole big ending happens but is somehow almost completely glossed over and wrapped up in a very superficial sappy scene is what determined the low rating.

I loved all the action in the plot line, it kept me again guessing what would happen and how things would play out. What Lowen doesn't expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. I can’t remember anymore if my grandfather’s eyes were blue or green, but I’ll never forget the way they wrinkled at the corners when he laughed at one of his own jokes. She loves her sister so much, which comes through throughout the book, and I really just enjoyed her. But when she learns of her father's plans to traffic women through Philadelphia, she can't keep quiet.Rumors say there’s a group of Awakened living under New York, and they’re responsible for the disappearances. I wish the final sequence played out a little longer and more detailed, again I feel like it wrapped up kinda quickly. i really enjoyed the majority of this book but i thought the ending was quite underwhelming like there was no revenge we didn’t get to see the death of the bad guy or like saving her sister, i think that would have been a more climactic ending and then maybe the final chapter like it felt like there was at least a chapter missing. And at some point, while flipping through thousands of titillating pages, everyone wants to see themselves represented. They reluctantly agree to help, which would mean a turf war between the Italian and the Irish syndicates.

However, this book gave enough context that I knew the major plot points and I didn’t feel the need to start from the beginning. It's a rule he's never wanted to break-until Delaney walks into his pub and accepts his impulsive job offer. I felt like this book focused more on the action than the romance which is fine but not my cup of tea. The only child of a film producer and his starlet wife, she’s grown up with wealth and privilege but not love or guidance. With over 6 million of the world’s best eBooks to choose from, Kobo offers you a whole world of reading.
